Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1997 Honda Goldwing. The bike is in very good condition. The good. There are about $1000.00 worth of accessories and add ons. One of the previous owners won a raffle at the dealedship. Backrest, highway boards, luggage rack, chrome trim in the cockpit area, exhaust, fork brace, IPOD hook-up(IPOD not included), J&M speakers, trunk handle, Tulsa tall windshield. Front brake pads replaced 8k miles ago. Front and rear tires (Michelin Pilot GT's) replaced 8k miles ago with Dyna beads added. Upgraded headlight bulbs. I may have forgotten something, but that's most of it. We rode from south Louisiana to southwest Michigan, with no problems. Many 2-3 day trips also. I wouldn't hesitate to go cross country on it. The only times it has slept outside, is when we were on trips. The bad. There are a few scratches. Left saddlebag cover is the worst. I've included a picture of that. Small scrastches on front fender. Left rotor cover has started to bubble on the bottom half. The chrome will start pealing soon. There are some dots on the lower right heat shield that look like someone spilled brake fluid on it. The starter button, when fully depressed, doesn't work. Back off a bit and it starts right up. I think it's just dirty, and it never bothered me. I thought of it as an anti-theft device. Over the winter I noticed if it sat for about a week, I might have to charge the battery. The battery was in it when I bought it(June '09), I never replaced it. I will include a Shoei full face helmet with intercom. It's been a very dependable bike, and I'm only selling it because I bought an SE. The wife doesn't want me to have two. I work a 24/7 on call type job, and may not have internet access everywhere I go. I'll do my best to answer any questions as fast as I can. Mileage will probably a bit higher by auctions end as I still take short rides on it. I would like a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auctions end. Any type of payment other than cash in person will have to clear before I release bike and/or title. If you need me to store the bike for awhile after the auction, e-mail me and we can work something out. On Apr-16-11 at 18:44:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought of a couple other things. The fader knob is missing. I have two bags that fit in the saddlebags. I also have a service manual for the bike.
