Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1978 CB750k with a cafe racer vibe, that is ready to ride! This bike has a few modifications, and has had a lot of time and effort invested into it this past year. I will do my best to properly describe the bike, but feel free to ask any questions that are on your mind! Modifications:- Custom Vintage Green Paint. ( This has been done on the tank, seat, and headlight.)- Custom Cafe seat - This seat is made of fiberglass and gives the bike a nice smooth appearance.- 1981 CB750SS tank - The tank on the bike is a 81 tank that is quite a bit longer than the original.- Harley Davidson Sportster suspension- Fully adjustable HD suspension was added, so you can stiffen up the ride for that racer feel, of soften it up for the weekend road trip. ( I have original shocks, and they do come with the bike.)- Clubman Bars (Black) - These bars are essential on any cafe racer, they give you an agressive stance.-Tail light - This bike has a custom Hot rod style tail light.- Height - This bike has been lowered about 2 inches, ideal for a shorter rider, or if you like things low. Recent work:- Carb Cleaning / sync- Full engine cleaning/rework How does she run? The bike runs great, started it today on the first crank, and she warmed it up in about 5 min. Rides nicely through all of the gears, and handles the highway just fine. 3 weeks ago I rode it about 160 miles on a day trip and I had no issues. I have no doubts about the reliability of this bike. Any rust? Not much for a bike of this age, the spokes have some small amounts of surface rust, and there is a little on the joints/bolts for the exhaust. Nothing too noticeable. Things it doesn't have:- Mirrors - Not required on a historic bike in this state.- rear blinkers - also not required, but i do have a pair and the wiring is ready to go.- license plate mount- You can hang your plate from the brake light mount, but you may want to get something more sturdy. Well thats about it! She is a great looking, smooth riding, easy to start CB750 that is ready for the season. Please feel free to ask questions, and happy bidding! edit: 4/17- I Added 2 pictures of the only imperfections on this bike. On the right side, the exhaust is tarnished. It should polish out, but have not attempted. Also on the right side there is some small amounts of paint wear and rust. I believe this was caused by a battery issue that has been resolved, and this is only noticeable when you are up close and looking for it. Just wanted to make all potential bidders aware. Thanks!
