Vehicle Detail

* Original 1965 A-Code Mustang - Perfect candidate for restoration! * Never cut, modified, or otherwise molested, a very rare find...no major accidents that I'm aware of or can see any evidence of. Still has the original hubcaps! * Lots of dust but no rust! This car spent most of it's life in West Texas. As you can see there's a lot of natural wear but there is minimal if any rust. I've included pictures of the shock tower, frame, and even the cowl (which is always rusty on old Mustangs)..NO RUST!! * Tired old A-Code 289 actually sounds pretty good but is worn & weak and needs a rebuild. Transmission seems ok but should probably be at least reconditioned at the same time. Brakes and other functions are working but are old, maybe original, unsafe, and need to be replaced. * This car came with nice original options, including power steering, power brakes, and factory air (which works but has a hose leak and won't hold a charge) * Includes all the chrome trim pieces that are shown removed in the pics, started to remove them some time back for a new paint job but never got there...now health forces sale. You can see a lot of sanding and such in the pictures. Original radio in the trunk with the chrome (now there's one of those aftermarket mustang cassette decks installed) * As mentioned, this is the perfect candidate for a restoration, which is why I originally bought it! I had never seen an unrestored Mustang so solid or rust-free, which makes for an easy and reasonably priced project. With no structural work required, you can basically get everything you need out of a catalog. Just get a good engine rebuild and a nice paint job and misc cosmetics you have a beautiful "like new" 1965 Mustang for about the price of a Kia! The original Caspian Blue is visible in the picture of the underside of the trunk. * This car is NOT - ready to go, a daily driver, or being sold as anything like that! It also has some minor annoyances like loose trim, a door that doesn't always latch right, a few broken interior trim pieces and other minor blemishes. It is a restoration candidate and is being sold as such, & I'm being as honest in the description as I can possibly be. Please don't expect anything else than what I'm describing. Car is somewhat mobile, but has been sitting many years and will need to be towed. It can be driven enough to load on a trailer but that's about it. * Car is near Roanoke, VA but has a FL title in my name. If you need a VA title that's not a problem, I just never bothered with it. * Mileage says 44,000...could be 144,000, 244,000...whatever...I have no idea. * Don't hesitate to ask any questions! * A couple of things have been brought to my attention since the auction started - there is a courtesy light in the passenger door, but not the drivers. This isn't usual and may have been added at some time in the past, or the door may have been replaced at some point. The door seems original and it was like that when I got it. It also looks like the car may have been repainted at some point, the warranty plate says that the original color was Silver Blue Metallic, not Caspian Blue. Please be aware of this before you bid. Warranty Number: 5R07A257619 Year: 5 1965 Plant: R San Jose, CA Body Series: 07 2 Door Hardtop Engine: A 289 4v V8 Unit: 257619 257619 Miscellaneous Vehicle Data Body: 65A 2 Door Hardtop, Standard Interior Color: Y Silver Blue Metallic Trim: D2 White Crinkle Vinyl with Blue Appointments, Standard Interior Date: 19V August 19, 1965 D.S.O: 61 Dallas Axle: 1 3.00:1, Conventional Trans: 6 C4 Automatic * As this car is 46 years old, obviously no warranty is offered, however, please check my feedback. Be assured that the description I've given is as accurate as possible. A $500 cash deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close through Paypal, balance due within 7 days. Please note: No overseas buyers or shipping proposals, check scams, trades, financing schemes, or other nonsense please. If you have less than 95% positive feedback, more than 5 negative items or less than 5 positives, or no feedback at all, you'll need to contact me first or I'll cancel the bid. Sorry, but the deadbeats ruin it for everyone.
