Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car when I was 18 and it has come along way since I have gotten it. It was a rust bucket. Over the years, I've slowly repaired it the best I could. It is a project car and still has needed work to be done. It is not in bad condition at all and it will give someone a much better start than it did me whenI first began working on it. What you see is what you get. A few things I'm sure you need to know : Merits and Flaws Motor - 1976 Pontiac 400. My dad and I rebuilt it. The motor does not have over 1000 miles on it. Transmission- Turbo 350. I had it completely rebuilt which cost 1200. That is with a shift kit included. The car has all brand new shocks, rotors, and break pads. It is a 4-wheel disk break ar. Rearend- 1979 Silver edition trans am. It is a positrac. I believe it needs the barrings re worked in it. Seats- Front seats have been reupholstered and the carpet is new. The back seat still needs to be reworked. Door handles- When I was replacing these, the dealer sent me two right handles, so the car needs a driver door handle. Carborator- This is a Edle Brock 750. Inspection- the car was inspected in the past as I use to drive it. Hasn't been inspected in a few years. And it does not have a battery at this time. With three kids and a family, it is hard to fund the completion of this project and it's time for a upgrade. Rather than it sitting out side waiting for a tree limb to hit it, I decided it's time to give someone else the opportunity and joy to finish rebuilding and own a great classic car like this one.
