Vehicle Detail

1971 Chevelle "SS" tribute. I've owned this car for five years. It runs excellent, and drives nicely. I bought the car in Tennessee after I returned from Iraq in 2006. Since it has been in my possesion, I have added: Grant Walnut steering wheel, Kenwood AM/FM, CD w/iPod jack, (2) 6X9 Kenwood speakers, (2) 4X6 Kenwood speakers in original front location. I also added a flex fan to the engine. The clutch fan assy was shot. I would not call this car restored. It has been 'Restificated." The paint is nice and shiny. The wheels are Corvette, 15X8 Ralleys, with nearly new tires. I have driven this car approximately 4500 miles in five years. I put it out at local shows and have garnered two top twenty five trophies. The engine is a 1973, 350 Chevy(Rebuilt)with a mild performance street cam, a polished intake, Edelbrock 750 carb, Polished, billet aluminum valve covers, HEI ignition, and Heddman headers. The engineand trans have about 7,000 miles on them. The exhaust looks new, and has 2.5 inch pipes with turbo mufflers, and 'dumps' in front of the rear end. It has air shocks in the rear. The diff is a Chevy 12-bolt unit with unknown series of innards. Gears are 3.08:1. This is a cruiser, folks. It'll get up and boogy, Chirping the tires in second, but this is no race car. It has a stock turbo 350 trans with a street shift kit installed. It is shifted on the floor with a B&M 'Unimatic' sitck..."8" Ball on top The interior has been restored, and presents well. It has mechanical, aftermarket gages below the dash, and a Sun Super Tach II mounted on the column. The only problem with the interior is the headliner. While it is NEW, it was not pulled up sufficiently on the sides, and the NEW dome light has not been installed. Everything works on this car except the A/C. It's all there, but needs a new condensor and POA valve to be up and running. I was going to do this, but other things came up first. You can drive it all day with no problems. It runs cool, and is very good on gas, for a classic like this. I have a car cover that goes with the car. It's kept in the garage during winter, and only comes out on the nice days. It's a clone, but a VERY nicely done clone. As far as I know, it has no rust issues. We did have a small accident when I had the garage door open one day. I was removing an old antenna from the garage, and a piece fell off and hit the deck lid. It laid down a deep scratch, but no dent (see photos.) If you like it and want more info, just drop me an e-mail, and I'll tell you anything else about it....Oh, it could use some new front shocks. It 'dives' when you brake hard...and does it get the looks! Pay the 'Buy it now' price, and I'll put a new rebuilt big block 454 in it with new headers, chrome valve covers, aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, etc. I will also guarantee it to run great and have no leaks. If you decide to 'Buy it now,' just let me know what size of cam you want in it, and give me about two weeks to get ur done.
