Vehicle Detail

1991 Camaro Rally Sport 5.0 Liter V8 Throttle Body Injection 5 Speed Manual Transmission (New Clutch) T-Tops (Two Sets) Power Windows Power Locks Air Conditioning, With New Rebuilt Compressor, New Dryer, New Seals, System Flush Cruise Control Power Brakes Power Steering New Windshield New Weather Stripping Mechanical I purchased this car around three years ago to use as a daily driver. This car is in great shape mechanically. Since I’ve owned the vehicle I have replaced the valve seals, adjusted the valves, installed a new gas tank, installed a new windshield, replaced the pinion seal, replaced the rear transmission seal, installed a new clutch, replaced weather stripping around both doors and T-Tops, installed a new hinge on the driver door, installed new tires (around 20,000 miles ago), New battery, and New alternator. Since I’ve owned the vehicle I’ve serviced it religiously (every three thousand miles). I have replaced the spark plugs, belt, and hoses. The air conditioning system was rebuilt last summer and works great. The Five speed transmission works and shifts very well, but when down shifting from fourth to third sometimes it will grind (No problem shifting up into Third, Just down shifting to third). The parking brake works but the teeth that hold the brake handle in place are worn and the mechanism probably needs to be replaced. The last time I change the oil the grease fitting that attaches the Tie rod to the driver side tire didn’t want to take grease (it’s probably clogged but I didn’t investigate it could be anything). I cannot think of any other mechanical problems at this time, but remember this car is Twenty years old with over one hundred an fifty thousand miles. (YOU’RE NOT BIDDING ON A NEW CAR AND THERE IS NO WARRANTY) INTERIOR When I purchased this Camaro it had a red interior. The interior was very faded and stained so I used Duplicolor interior paint and dyed the Carpet, door panels and molding. As you can see from the pictures the paint didn’t take very well with the carpet, maybe it was the age of the carpet but it still looks a lot better than when I bought it. I replaced the headliner and did a good job except for the four corners by the T-TOPS (see picture) it’s not noticeable with the T-Tops installed. I purchased USED Black seatbelts on eBay to replace the faded red ones (The Original red seat belt will be in the trunk). I installed a dash cap to cover a crack that runs down the original dash (Looks Very Good). I installed a new JVC radio, CD, USB MP3 player. Two sets of T-Tops will come with this vehicle. One set is glass and in good shape, the other set is the Original set they are made of some sort of plastic. The Original (Plastic) set is very scratched and looks as if someone tried to wax them. I have new seals for one set of the T-TOPS with instruction but have not installed the seals. It will be up to the new buyer to choose which set gets the new seals. The sun visors are not installed, one of them has been taken apart one is still together but red and nasty looking, I will include the original sun visors but they will need to be recovered (You’ll find these in the trunk with the original red seatbelts). The Power Window switches and trunk release work fine but they are cracked making them look bad. The console has a crack in the rear but is only noticeable from the back seat. The seats are in good shape except for the driver seat. The Driver seat is flat worn out there are rips on the original seat fabric where the drivers body rubs while entering the vehicle. I have placed seat covers on both the front and back seats. Under the seat covers you’ll find the original red ugly faded seats. You will need to find seat belt guides that attach to the headrests. Without these, the seat belts rub your neck (very annoying). The cigarette lighter is missing. EXTERIOR When I purchased this car it was white and the title still lists it as white. The original white paint was flaking off; nearly the entire car was down to the original primer. I replaced both front finders due to denting, I also Installed a new front ground effect (the one that is broken on every camaro you see 1982 to 1992). I painted the car my self with the duplicolor paint system, IT DOSEN’T LOOK BAD BUT I’M NOT A PERFESSIONAL PAINTER. The car does need a good wet sanding and a polish even though it can’t be seen from the pictures. I went a little crazy with the clear coat there are some runs on the mirrors and spoiler. I removed the ground effects, mirror, and spoiler when painting so it is silver and rust free under the effects. When I replaced the finders I noticed that a new panel had been welded in near the rocker panel on the driver side. There was some surface rust in spots underneath the car some of which I have sanded primed, painted and then undercoated. There has been some body work performed under the gas fill cap on the rear quarter panel, don’t know what happened this was before I owned the car. Just like anything you buy on eBay pictures don’t tell the whole story. I’ve tried to give a good description of this car. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have just email them to me through eBay.
