WELCOME TO ANOTHER "NO RESERVE" AUCTION !! This is our stock factory original Volkswagen Vanagon "Carat" edition, it has low mileage and has been well cared for. New tires installed this past month and all needed services performed. Reliable and ready to travel! This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. I do have a few bidder requirements at the bottom of the page, please read them and the entire listing BEFORE placing your bid. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, this VW is in really nice original condition, well above average for the year. The original clean factory paint is still on the van and with the exception of the dent above the passenger wheel well (see pic) the body is otherwise perfect. Upon inspection you will see that there is no rust or rot on this van, it is a solid California vehicle that has been stored in the desert climate. The floors and undercarriage look excellent. All glass looks good, window tint has a few "wrinkles" on the diver and passenger door windows it will need redone. We have just installed brand new tires and have put about 70 miles on them as of this posting. The interior also is original with the exception of the Sony CD player. The interior is well above average for a Vanagon of this year, but I do notice 2 minor flaws- the drivers side seat bottom has wear on the left edge and could use a recovering or seat cover. The far rear seat has what I believe is a soda or coffee stain on the right edge below the cupholder, probably will need a good stain remover shampoo to get it out. The front and rear passenger seats and cargo area are all in good shape, no rips, tears or abuse. Dash pad and dash are in good shape with NO sun cracks. Everything is power inside this VW and it all works. Mechanically, this Vanagon has very low miles at 88k, it has been cared for and does run well. I can't see it needing anything mechanically in the near future. The engine has plenty of power, no smoking, leaks or strange noises. The automatic trans shifts smooth and on cue. All lights work, brakes are good, etc. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this VW. The registration will expire 4/18/2011, so I put it on a planned non-op with DMV so no fees or penaltys are due if the car stays in California, if it goes out of state, nothing is due in California. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base. I encourage personal inspections and am available Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm for personal viewing.
