Here is my 1974 VW Volkswagen thing type 181. I have owned it for 5 years. it came from IDAHO, so it has no rust issues. very minor bondo on it to fix small dents and dings. Dual Carbs, Oil cooler, oil Filter I have been fixing it up over the last 5 yrs. It is not mint but a good daily driver. the good:Newer paint, New carpet kit,Dual Carbs rebuilt 2 yrs ago. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, battery, electronic ignition, hubcaps,Steering stabilizer, air filters, turn signal lenses, turn signal switch, tail lights, headlights, headlight eyebrows, new clutch, new slave cylinder for hydraulic clutch, bug pack exhaust, shifter knob, side mirror, antenna, speedometer cable, Nerfbar bumpers,Complete Carpet Kit in black,tow bar for towing it and more........ have many extra parts also that will go with it. Floorboards in good solid shape 2 small patches, about 4x10" on each side. Goodyear tires. I have the vent covers for the back, they are painted the same color as the rest of the car. I have the front bumper in good shape, rear bumper with dents, and window frames. The top frame is complete. Have a factory roll bar that will go with it, just not in the vehicle now. Engine runs strong, no chokes on the carburetors, so it doesn't idle well until warmed up. I have a clear MN title in hand! the bads: Couple of runs in the paint , but they could be sanded down. couple of black scuff marks in the paint, they can buff out. Brakes need to be bled to be have a little firmer pedal, same with the clutch. drivers seat has a couple of small tears, could use to be recovered. could use a timing tune up. original vinyl top on it ( in poor condition: Thing has stayed in my garage and has not seen rain or snow since I have owned it, so I have not had top on)these pictures were taken last fall before it was tucked away for the winter. but looks the same.
