Vehicle Detail

1965 Plymouth Valiant, Signet edition. 318 Mopar with Edelbrock Carb Automatic 3 speed transmission Lowering Bid for fast sale. This is an update on the car I posted here before. We found out that the engine is NOT blown, it is the torque converter that will need replaceing. Theres a small slow fuel leak comeing from the bottom of the tank. The windows are not off track, they do go up and down, but you have to fool around with them a little bit, should be an easy fix. The windshield wiper motors are removed because the previous owner was stripping the car down to make it into a drag strip car. Same applies with the heating ducts, another easy fix. The left drivers side reverse light is broke off, the assembly and tail light is good, just the clear circular plastic lens is broken. Car does not have plugs or wires at the moment, as we were going to tune it up before selling, but lost interest and needing money to drive back home to Georgia. Oil pressure light flickers, but it does not have a oil pressure problem, It goes away when giving it throttle, someone told me it just needs the carburetor screw adjusted and it will take care of that light. Also, the fuel gauge and the speedometer do not read, so I also do not know the mileage. It is probably high mileage though.. The body is in 95% Perfect condition. It was a head turner before the torque converter went out. Everywhere I went people would stop and look at it, and alot of people will start conversations with me about it at gas stations and other places. The windshield is brand new, only 2 months old, the interior is very clean, has racing seats in the front, and origional seats in the back. The steering wheel is custom, the old one was broken. The paint that is on the car is primer black, so it has no gloss. It was primered to be prepared to be painted but never got around to it. The engine sounds very good, it is dual exhaust. The windshield has a LIFETIME WARRANTY and I do have the paperwork and title with me on hand. Patch up the fuel tank and while your at it replace the fuel tank sending unit. Get it good plugs and wires, maybe even a distributor if you want. Replace the torque converter, the drivers side reverse light cover, and I would say you have a pretty nice running car already. I would replace the alternator also, this one works but its the 1965 origional and it does not give out power like it used to. The lights brighten when you give it RPM. The car is on Minot AFB at my new house, and it is garage kept. I do not let it out in the Dakota weather at all. Heres a video you can watch before the torque converter went out on me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciIWknqBDxA Thank you for looking and happy bidding. (:
