Vehicle Detail
up for auction is the father in laws' hyundai. top of line model, has power everything including seats, mirrors, sunroof, leather, CD, auto temp control, etc. everything is working fine except the driver seat heater- passenger side works, but drivers does not (can't hear the relay click when i press the button). has just under 73,000 miles, he replaced the tires not many miles ago. i did oil & filt last week. GOOD POINTS- interior is like new, no wear on seats or armrest, no coffee stains, no cigarette smell, or marks- it's like new inside. it runs and drives great- no wheel bearing or tire noise or brake shake, goes down the road hands off straight, and everything is working as it should (except the 1 seat heater as noted). a/c nice and cold. i'd drive it anywhere. Not So Good- dad was a lousy driver and we finally got him off the road before he got himself into real trouble. the car has a variety of scapes and dings, worse being the left front fender. the headlamp capsule has cracked plastic in the mounting area, though the lens in not cracked. it still works but is aimed poorly. left front side marker lens broken. there's a ding in the right rear quarter panel (almost looks like a golf ball did it), right lower rocker panel scraped up, a piece of plastic trim in the left rear bumper missing, small crease in right front fender ; those are all the most obvious, but there are other little dings here and there. i've tried to picture everything. all the blue books and price guides say this should retail private party for about $6500 without the body damage, so i'm starting this at a significant discount. if the dings and dents don't bother you, it's a super nice car. if there's other pics you'd like, just ask. you or your representative are welcome to inspect and test drive it with appointment. i am right off I-80 and I-57, very easy to get to. dependable auto transport (DAS) happens to have a terminal right here in town, so if you need to have car the shipped you can get quote on line from them. i can get it to the terminal. added 4/4/11- i have been asked about the timing belt. i could not find the reciept but called o'hare hyundia where he always had it serviced and they confirmed by the VIN that the full 60K service, including the belt, was done at 60,000 miles on march 2nd, '09.
