Vehicle Detail

This is my excellent and very rare 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. I buy and sell specialty/classic cars for a living- and this is one of my best finds yet. This car is clean, excellent and in beautiful ALL STOCK condition. The car is 100% reliable and needs nothing. For those who aren't familiar, the 944 Turbo was one of Porsche's best efforts during the 1980s, it is also known as the 951. It was actually the fastest-accelerating Porsche built at the time, beating even the mighty 928 V8 and 911. This car had the superb handling of the 944 chassis, but without the anemic 143hp regular 944 engine. The Turbo engine pushes out 217-250HP (and can be easily chipped to put out over 300HP with no damage) making this a true high-performance car. Brakes were taken directly from the 928 and the car was upgraded in many ways to handle the extra power. Styling was always a 944 strong suit, and it was made even better with the Turbo's smooth-profile nose and flared rear fenders with staggered 16" wheels. This is a true performance machine. Even 26 years later, there is hardly a car on the road that keeps up with a stock 944 Turbo. This is a clean, very low mileage example. The car has 79,719 original miles since new. This car has newer paint- which looks nice, I would say it is 8/10 in quality- not perfect, but looking very nice. There are no dings, dents or major scratches, and NO RUST. The underside and under the hood are very clean. The panels are all straight and clean. The interior is in beautiful condition. The leather seats are in great shape with no major faults. The car runs and drives perfectly. The motor is smooth and ultra-powerful. It never hesitates, nor does it smoke, leak or burn fluids. The brakes stop very well and the tires have excellent treadlife remaining. This car is totally reliable. I feel confident that you could drive this car anywhere with no worries. The car has a Sony CD player that sounds great. If you have any questions, or you would like to see the car before bidding, please email me or call/text me at 440 339 4341. Here's the bad- the power window switches can be finicky, but both windows work. The air intake is an aftermarket K&N style, but I have the original intake setup. There is some slight panel gap misalignment on the nose, very minor. Who knows if it was in a minor fender bender years ago, but the core supports, shock tower and all structural and underhood components are perfectly aligned and not damaged. The paint as I mentioned is newer, and I would say it is a 5-foot paint job. From 5 feet or more, it looks perfect. If you get very close, then you can see that it isn't a perfect job, but again it looks very good. The worst is a small section on the hood, and even that isn't too bad at all. There was also some minor wear on the driver's seat bolster that has been repaired. This is a good "driver" example of the 944 Turbo. On Apr-03-11 at 12:26:50 PDT, seller added the following information:On Apr-09-11 at 10:59:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a couple bidders ask about the A/C- it is currently too cold here to test if or how well the A/C works- I do not know.
