This 1996 show corvette has 26,000 original miles and 1500 miles on the new high performance motor and transmission. This car was built for the track and car shows, it is not considered an everyday driver for the average vet owner. IT has the 6 speed manual transmission and is very fast. The original LT1 motor will be included as part of the sale and is stored at Superior Automotive in Anaheim. The buyer will need to make arrangements to pick up the motor. This motor has around 23,000 miles on it and includes the block, heads and pretty much everything to bolt in. As for the smog, the car passed with the current motor but required the timing to be adjusted and the fuel thinned out to pass smog. It passed CA smog emissions in Oct of 2010. The motor was built by Joe Hill of Superior Automotive Engineering in Anaheim and cost over 19k. The underside is clean and the exterior body is perfect, not one ding or scratch. I have all the receipts and the following is a list of the work done on the motor. The motor was dyno at 563.89 HP@6200. Engine work - Thermal clean block, bore & hone w/torque plates, hone lifter bores, bottom tap holes for torque plates. Square deck block, install cam bearings, freeze plugs, machine block for stroker. Disassemble rods & pistons: Thermofit. Balance engine assembly, disassemble heads, CC & mill for compression, valve job, flow test, assemble engine , file fit rings, check piston to valve & piston to head. Check rocker arm geometry, degree cam, pre-oil. Install 4 bolt main caps & align hone, pin fit conn rods. Power coat manifold & timing cover, coat piston tops, single notch pistons, engine dyno service include break in cam, seat rings & bearings, tune for max performance and reprogram computer. Powder coat valve covers, polish thermostat housing. Remove and install engine, transfer case, install remote battery box, install clutch master & bleed hydraulic system, fabricate plate for firewall,. The tires are in great shape, the brakes are in great shape and the car runs perfect. This is one of a kind and it was a gift from my late father in-law.
