This car is a cut above most other examples Ive seen, and has clearly seen a great deal of loving attention. The last owner paid $15K for it three years ago, but his wife wasnt quite tall enough to feel comfortable in it - these cars have a surprising amount of legroom, and can accomodate people of 6 feet or more. White, red, and chrome is a beautiful color combination for this car, and the wire wheels really set it off. This car is just brimming with classic British styling, and really turns heads. The soft top is smooth and easy to operate. GiGi the Beagle very much approved of this one. The paintwork is smooth and professional with straight sheetmetal - no waviness or orange peel. The OEM wire wheels are straight, true, and just stunning, with Good Year radials in almost new condition. These wires are real knocks-offs - the center bolt loosens with a special wrench and soft-blow hammer to take the wheel off. The high quality convertible top is in excellent condition with crystal clear windows. The trunk is decked out with this beautiful hand-crafted luggage rack. The prior owners entered it in a car show for fun and walked away with a trophy! The interior is very original, with real leather seats, the proper steering wheel, and a smooth dash free from cracks or warping. Seat belts and a handy little package shelf. There is attractive piping on the seats and door panels. Beautiful original cluster with Smiths gauges all working properly. Only 51K miles on this lightly-used sports car! A modern CD player (with hidden Pioneer speakers) is the only item in the car to remind you that it isnt 1968. The sun visors and windshield assembly are in very nice condition. Original 4-speed shifter operates smoothly. Inviting real leather seats! Original owners manual! The original inline 4 cylinder runs very well, and the motor compartment is in excellent condition. The spare tire, also with a real wire wheel, is in the trunk along with a snap-on tonneau cover for the interior. The front suspension has been recently refreshed.
