Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite MKII with a 948cc engine. I purchased this car over a year ago and haven't had much time to finish the restoration due to work. I installed a new fuel pump on it this last weekend and a new red top optima battery. The brakes all the way around have been replaced from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinders to the pads and hardware. The brakes could use a bleeding the pedal is still spongey. I have receipts of over 1200 dollars worth of new parts that have been installed. Also included with the car are many spare parts including a spare engine block, crank and two cylinder heads, two spare transmissions, a new clutch pressure plate, disc and throw out bearing, two spare radiators, front and rear bumpers, a spare drive shaft, a spare steering shaft, 5 spare starters , spare generator, an extra set of top bows, a spare pedal box, a spare master cylinder, spare windshild frame, Both left and right floor boards had some rust and also right above the right side floor board on the inside of the car the bad spots on the drivers side were cut out and a 1/16 sheet of aluminum has been cut out and put on the floor but its not bolted down or the seats the left side is thin and has a few small holes so it was also has a piece of aluminum. Also I do have the Victora british right and left steel replacement floor panels if you wanted to install them and boxes of misc spare parts. The car will start and run I just changed the oil in the engine and transmission and turned the engine over by hand before trying to start it since it hasn't been started in a year. The engine does drip a little oil. There are alot of new parts on the car. The side panes on the inside of the car need to be recoverd and installed. There is new material to cover the panels. The car went through a hail storm before I bought it and has damage on the hood and the trunck lid it has cracked a patch of filler that was on the front hood so it will need to be repainted. This is a restoration in progress currently it is not inspected or tagged. The vehicle has a clear title. The vehicle is also listed locally the auction will end at anytime if sold. This classic british car is sold as is, it is a work in progress. also the extra dash in pic is not for sale.
