Vehicle Detail
Alright guys, it's back. I had this car listed a few months back but wasn't prepared for all the questions. So let's try it again! It's a 1966 Buick Riviera GS with dual quads. It is NOT an MZ car but one of very few that had the dual set-up done by the dealer. These cars are really starting to rise in value but I'm not a Buick guy so I'll answer questions the best I can. I can not read all of the engine code but it starts with MW and ends with 965. The Vin# is 494876H914965. There is a metal tag sticking out of the rear end that says: USE LIMITED SLIP LUBRICANT. The carburetors numbers are very confusing. It's got several. There is a C with a circle around it. One has 3645s and the other has 3025s. There's also some numbers on the side (4014 I think) The intake manifold says 1370316B There is another number on the side of the engine, behind the exhaust manifolds that say: B-374603-E I have rebuilt the starter and had it running in December. It sounds awesome. The previous owner was in his 70's and told me he had the engine and transmission were rebuilt. By the sound of it, I believe him. It wouldn't shift into gear. Linkage, I think. I also did the wheel cylinders and brakes, new points, distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires still need to be done but I have all the parts and they are included in sale. The body is the biggest problem of the car. The trunk is completely gone. There is some rust and rot on the rear of the quarter panels and bottoms of fenders. The left front fender is also dented. I really would love to keep this car but the bodywork is beyond me. I have every part needed to complete. They're not in the pics but I have all the bumpers, trim, etc. Several people have told me that this car all done would be worth $30,000. I hope it goes to a true Riviera collector. Good luck!!
