Hello and welcome to ,my auction. I am not going to waste a lot of time telling you stuff you don't need to hear. I will cut to the chase and get to the car and the condition. Ok,. This is a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible which is a very good year for up dates and suspension and engines which this has a brand new only a handful of test miles 1600 CC engine with a rebuilt 4 speed manual with new shifter and of course new clutch,throwout barring and pressure plate. I have video of the car during the restoration showing the fame or pan if you're a volkswagen purest , off the body and while the body was off we repainted the entire suspension ,put new brakes in and checked out all the steering ,tie rods, steering box etc and everything was in and is in excellent working order . I want to be very careful with my description as there is a difference between a frame off restoration and frame up restoration . This car is a frame off and not everything was replaced but was checked and if it needed anything that perticular part was replaced. What is new? New Paint in above average condition a good driver or a touch more but far from show or a $5,000.00 paint job. There is no dents or dings and absolutely no rust in the floors,sheet metal or the body . There has been thousands of dollars spent and countless hours of back breaking work to get this car in this condition not to mention having to find the car in the first place down in Los Angeles and delivering it to Paso Robles. People forget that these cars did not show up in this condition and someone had to work very hard finding them ( and we walk away from many that don''t meet our strict standards) but back to the condition , new seat covers , new carpet , NEW CONVERTIBLE TOP , headliner was already in good shape but not brand new , new bumpers front and back , new chrome moldings ,new door panels , new gavel guards front and back , new front windshield and rubber gasket ,new fuel pump , new distrubator ,cap and rotor ,new spark plug wires,spark plugs,and brand new exhaust. Now I am going to try to finish up here and when we say it is new paint we mean you can still smell the new paint it is so new and convertible top means just professionally installed today not like some that say the car was restored and you find out ,yeah it was 10 years ago. Last I'll leave you with this .We're not dealers we are restorers that love and enjoy these beetles and we are not "Getting rid of them" . We are not emotionly connected to them so we can offer them for sale but we would rather not sell the car then sell it to someone who hasn't read the ad or understand the quirks of owning a beetle. These cars get unbelievable gas mileage and are super fun and best off all they are a classic. My opinion of the car is just that ,my opinion you and I may or may not share the same and that is why if at all possible please come in person or send an independant inspector. The car is going No Reserve and the car is 41 years old so know what you are buying . Please ask question prior to bidding or purchasing the car and not after.Due to the heavy rain fall here in California the pictures are not the best. I will be adding much betterpictures and video showing how nice the car is and how shiny the paint is.
