Vehicle Detail
I have a 1975 CB750 Super Sport for sale. I rode this from Cleveland to Chicago last year and it is a great bike. I call it a project because I bought it but let other projects get in the way. It does need some work to make it a great bike. The seat is not attached, the person who owned it before me removed all of the mounting brackets. The seat does have a bracket with it, you will have to weld, braze, or bolt on your own to the frame. I just used a tie down to hold it on. They also removed the mounting system for the tank for some reason, I made up my own bracket, you can make your own or keep the current one. The tires are great, the brakes are great, thought they do squeal a bit. A fiberglass seat is included, along with a tail light that fits to it. It was made by Hotwing glass. It will need to be sanded and painted. It comes with vortex clip on handle bars. The tank is an original paint job, it has some sun fading, but I really love the look of it. The tank has some dents from the clip ons. The pictures show what they look like. There is an electrical starter, but no button for it. The previous owner cut back the wires for the starter, turn signals and horn. if you want those, you will have to extend them. I was running an open exhaust, and just through on a small turn out. I do have the original muffler if you want it, I will be happy to include it. There is some surface rust, but nothing that can't be handled. There are no side covers. I lost those on the way to Chicago, you might find them on the turnpike if you really feel up to looking. This really is a great motorcycle, I just am building myself an xs650 and have a 1966 BSA Lightning waiting in the wings. It would be a shame for this bike to sit and collect dust. Any other questions, please ask me. Happy bidding! PLEASE READ! PAYMENT I do require a deposit after winning of $100.00. You do not need to pay the full amount over paypal if you are picking the bike up within 2 weeks of end of auction. I will not accept checks, knly cash or paypal. SHIPPING: I will NOT ship this item. It is either local pickup or up to the buyer to set up the shipping and crating of the item. There are several companies that will handle that, please research this before buying. I will be happy to meet any shipping company at any time so they can pick the bike up. On Mar-23-11 at 18:41:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I should point out that the bike does have a clean title in my name. Also the frame and engine numbers DO NOT match. This is because they rarely do on old Honda's. On Mar-29-11 at 09:03:08 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! I am getting a lot of the same questions so I will just put them on here. The bike is not running. You just need to give it a carb cleaning. I am likely going to just clean out the carbs and get it running today anyway. The seat DOES come with the bike. You would likely not be able to ride it to wherever you live because A: It does not have plates and B: The seat is not attached, probably not a good idea to ride it like that. It also has no padding on it. It comes with a good non spill battery. No, I will not send you the title until the bike has been paid in full. If I have not answered your questions, please feel free to ask me yours.
