Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford F-100 2wd longbed pickup Oklahoma truck, Super solid Rust free. New tires New alum. Radiator New electric cooling fans- thermostat controlled New weatherstripping New Holley 4bbl carb New front disc brakes New windshield and side glass Truck has been converted to power steering (73-79) Gearbox Has been converted to (73-79 front disc brakes) FE block engine (Mileage unknown) C-6 Auto trans with Lokar floor shifter etc, etc.....More new parts installed. Just ask. I have only owned this truck for a short period of time. I wish I did not have to sell it. I have driven it a couple of hundred miles with no problems. Truck was painted this past summer with a Flat satin enamel paint job that looks really nice.NOT PRIMER. Wide white walls with baby-moons and stainless trim rings. Dual exhaust that exits out the side just before the rear wheels. Truck is a 1966, however it does have a 1965 grill in it. New front and rear chrome bumpers. The engine starts right up even in these cold single digit temps we are having here in Ohio. The Carb and Choke system work just fine. Trans shifts smooth. Engine Bay is detailed pretty nicely. Has a Period correct Sun super tach and a set of tri gauges installed as well. NO RADIO. No Carpet No headliner. I have a bunch of extra parts that go with the truck. Truck has a period correct rear sliding window in it that works just fine...However, It does rattle alot. Could be fixed with some weatherstripping I am sure. This is a great cruiser and would make someone a nice sunny day driver. Or you could put it to work and use it as a truck. Would also make a great gasser tow vehicle or business promotion vehicle. Truck has good street manors and does not overheat. Sounds pretty nice with a low rumble. I do not have any history on the engine. It runs well. I do not know what size FE block it is. It could be a later model 360 or 390. I have had no time to decode the block yet. Engine smokes a little when you free rev it to higher rpms. Does not smoke/tick/knock going down the road. Most likely a valve seal issue...Just wanted to be honest. Engine does not tick or knock on start up, even in single digit temps. Has good oil pressure. If you know anything about FE blocks you know they are not good on gas. Undercarriage and suspension is in good shape. I would put new front coil springs in it if I was to keep it. Front end is pretty tight. Rear suspension is in very good shape. I hauled a 1000 pound load in the truck and had no issues at all. Body is really solid. Front fenderwells are next to perfect. No holes or rust. Has Chrome hood hinges and new springs. Cab mounts are original and solid. Floor has no carpeting and has a few patches because of 4 speed removal. Floor just needs a carpet. The bench seat is covered. The seat is in very nice conditon and works good. It is a light blue in color. This truck does not have seatbelts. I would add those also if I kept the truck. Alot of money was put into this old truck to make it what it is today. It needs some detail work on the interior. Other than that Just drive it and work on it as you go. Truck is a turn key old school hotrod truck. I would drive it everyday if the climate allowed me to. Once again, I would love to keep this truck but, I need the room in the garage.
