Vehicle Detail
Ah...the world famous and sought-after BMW E28 chassis style...the timeless 1980s look that BMW hasn't been able to best in almost 25 years. No way I would be selling this car (given all the work and cashola that's gone therein), but my wife and I are moving to Ireland in one month. This is a classic BMW that I get compliments and thumbs-up on almost every day. I am a BMW enthusiast, and I bought this from a BMW enthusiast. Translation: It has been pampered for many years. I purchased this from a fellow BMW enthusiast in December of 2007. It was already in great shape with no major issues. We've done quite a bit of work getting this thing into even better shape, and there remain just a few relatively minor items to improve upon. The odometer reads about 243k, but actual mileage is somewhere in the neighborhood of 225k -- I replaced the gauge cluster awhile back and we didn't bother rolling it back. When well taken care of, these engines have been known to run for 400k miles. I have driven this car on several LONG road trips with no problems at all. All work has been performed by a skilled BMW mechanic (who is also a pilot and airplane mechanic), and I would be happy to give you his name and phone number if you have any questions. This a reliable car that turns heads everywhere it goes. Not very many E28s on the roads these days, and certainly not very many in this kind of shape.
