Vehicle Detail
I have a 1956 Ford Fairlane up for sale. I have been working on this vehicle for years and I love it. I was planning on completing the car but I simply no longer have the time to do so. It is a beautiful car that I care for a lot, I’ve been working on the car since I was in junior high. there are some after market things on the car but no worries I have all the original parts and pieces as well. The car has a clean record, I am unsure how many owners but I’ve had it for the past 10 years. I have the original black and yellow license plates too. I will also include the original repair manuals and books for the vehicle. Vehicle Details - Recently done paint job, two toned, minor chips here and there because of the mechanic I hired - Recently done vinyl interior that matches the paint job - Recently done carpet to match the whole car, including trunk - New carburetor - New manifold - New Distributor - New electrical system run throughout vehicle - New alternator - New light green tint xenon headlights - White wall tires, even the spare in the trunk - New installed front cross member, the old one had rusted through - Had the headers redone, machined and installed - New fuel pump - ran new fuel lines - Front disk brakes - Shocks redone - New gas tank, with new gas cap that is locked with a key - New side windows and insulators - Cleaned out and repaired all the air ways for the vent - New radiator overflow - New green seatbelts in the front seat for safety and it matches the entire car - Rebuilt oil pump, and oil pan cleaned - Re-chromed bumpers, side mirrors, hood ordainment, door handles, back light mounts, scuff plates, front grill - New electronic green gauges to match car, I have the original gauges as well - Rebuilt vacuum windshield wipers - New hidden kill switch as a precaution - The hub caps are all almost new except for one which had a clear coat on it that turned yellow and I got as much off as I could and it looks really good only noticeable if you look at it close - Also many more little details here and there such as new horn, and fairlane and V8 logos, new antenna, new window roller handles, new rear view mirror Vehicle issues - Battery has issues- Gas goes to the carb, but chokes. I don't know why, I believe that the carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned due to the length of time the car has been there. - The wiring for the gauges need to be checked along with the wiring for the headlights because sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t, the mechanic I sent it to messed it all up and I haven’t had a chance to take a look at it. - one of the visor rods is broken so the passenger side doesn’t have a visor, I have the visor just need a new rod to put it on. Notable details - the manifold and carb is a two barrel because when I got the car from my uncle someone had already switched out the 4 barrel manifold for a two barrel along with the carb, which is weird. - the back window behind the driver is hard to roll up and down because the roller inside was really rusted and I could not find another one so fixed it up as much as possible and it still works just really stiff. - I couldn’t find new rear ashtrays - I couldn’t find new visor rods - I put little cobra heads as the locking nobs for fun, it can be unscrewed and you can change it to whatever you like - The audio system is no longer there, it was damaged with rust and such due to moister This car has been in California for at least the past 10 years so very little or almost no salt damage and rust. Before that I am uncertain, but it is a good possibility that it has been in California for well over 20 years. This car is beautiful and I put much time and effort into fixing and taking care of it. I am sure I missed some details because there are so many special quirks here and there and I did so much to it. Since I got it, I have put maybe 250 miles on it, probably much less. This car is a rare beauty that can be described in words must be seen for yourself. If you love this car half as much as I did, I know it’ll be in good hands. If you have any question or such please feel free to email me, I check my email probably 10 times a day so I’ll get back to you ASAP. I have most of the receipts for all the work done on the car and I’ll provide those for you too. I have spent probably over 18000 on the car in work done and parts alone that does not include labor done by me or parts here and there that I bought over the years or the original cost of the car. So my loss is your gain. If you would like to schedule to come see it feel free to contact me by email or call/text at 714-862-5799, I am free most days. Remember I have paid a lot more in time and money into the car than what it is priced at so I am losing money and I have the receipts to back it up! A rare wonder, Thank you for your time and consideration of my vehicle!
