well let me start by giving some history to this car! this is an original colorado car that was found here with its original color on the car never been repainted with excellent lines through out and unmolested! it started out life as a sea foam green paint with a deluxe parchment interior,here is the marti report breakdown as it was ordered! we decided to make the car a more pro touring restomod and a look that could be unsurpassed by others! so we started by selecting the wheels from the notorious gone in 60 seconds car called eleanor,they are a staggered set to give the rake appearance and killer looks at 17x8 fronts and 18x9 rears with directional tires! now the drive train is all original to the car to include numbers matching motor which has been freshened using most of its current parts and carb,intake,exhaust,etc, some of the after market equipment are the polished ansen valve covers sporting the cobra emblem and snake,custom billet oval air cleaner,billet breathers,electronic distributor with jba plug wires, polished aluminum oil pan, new alternator,battery etc, has the original transmission that has been cleaned and checked,filter replaced and shifts perfectly,the power steering has been redone also and is perfect as well all show quality so when you open the hood you will be impressed to show off at any show! continuing down the chassis from the engine and transmission you will notice the original drive shaft that has been stripped and painted with a black base coat clear coat to perfection,also the rear end and leaf springs were removed and painted as well so when you look underneath you will see a perfect rear end also painted in black base coat clear coat finish that reflects like a mirror!!!! the whole underside was cleaned and painted with great detail to show off the other parts. also notice the new gas tank was painted as base coat clear coat along with the rear sway sporting poly urethane bushings as well as the front sway bar sporting poly urethane bushings as well. the exhaust sytem also new duals all the way out the back sporting the unique flowmaster design,sound and looks but copys they appear to be! this car also has the front factory disc brakes but all the components are new including the brake pads,calipers,crossed cut and drilled zinc rotors! rear drum brakes this car has been lowered for a better appearance! in retrospect the bottom end has a show quality to it and people love to look at the bottom end of a car! now lets take a look at the interior! nearly everything in the interior has been changed with the exception of the kick panels and quarter interior panels and maybe a few other items! mostly everything is new! remember we went from parchment deluxe interior to black. this includes completely redone seats that are a comfort to sit in and firm!,new headliner,reconditioned original upper console with map lights,sun visors,mirror,rear deck cover,new high frequency speakers,new dash,new dash bezel and attaching pieces, take a look those are autometer procomp gauges to give a more restomod look,custom steering wheel,custom sound system,custom lower console,custom door panels,new carpet,completely rebuilt heater box and core,plenum etc, interior is immaculate, there really is way to much to list! now to the body! painted in a black base coat/clear coat with a small dosage of copper pearl mixed in with the black paint to appear more subdued and hardly noticeable but deep enough where you want to dive in!!!! each panel was removed and prepped and painted off the car not on the car to avoid any overspray,blocked several times to make straight after all it is black! each panel was wet sanded with 1200 and than wet sanded with trisac and polished to a glass finish! added to that are the notorious super snake stripes done in a deep grey metallic with a hint of copper pearl mixed with the paint and not the clear! making it nearly invisible! also added where some of distinct eleanor side scoops,rear tail panel attached to the metal deck lid and end caps,the hood is the composite slash/metal gt 500 hood and take a look at the grille! thats right a 2009 style gt grill was tastefully added for improved killer looks instead of the predictable grille! tri y headlights, be different!!!!! all rubber on the car is new to include seals and weather stripping,all the trim is new to include marker lights,parking lights,etc. new windshield,this car has been more of a trailer queen than driven and it really needs to be driven which by the way drives fantastic but will get dusty underneath!
