1966 Chevrolet C 10 Pick upTennessee TruckFactory Original 283 Motor3 Speed Manuel Column Shift I bought this truck 2 years ago in Tennessee from a gentlemen that used it for many years in Tennessee. We brought it back to Florida where we had fun with it going to local events and car shows. We have since bought a newer truck, and this truck just sits in my garage taking up space. I need the space and we need to downsize our collection so it’s now up for sale here and locally. This is an original truck that could be driven as is with a few minor repairs. Vehicle Condition: Motor: Factory 283 original motor runs good with 88577 miles. I had the carburetor rebuilt last year. Manuel choke, 2 barrel carburetor. I had the original radiator re-cored last year for $400.00, and also had it tuned up with new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor & points. Transmission: Factory 3 speed manuel shift on the column or as some remember 3 on the tree. Undercarriage: All stock, solid frame, floors & cab mounts. Exhaust: Dual exhaust added with flow master mufflers. It has a nice rubble, but it's not too loud. Tires & Wheels: I have the original steel wheels ( 6 lugs) that go with the truck, but it currently has the Ralley wheels on it mounted on radial tires. All the wheels & tires go with this sale. Interior: The interior is in good shape. It has the stock factory gauges that all work, including the gas gauge. I do not have the original radio. The vinyl seat is in good condition. Both windows work fine with no problems. The front windshield has a minor small crack, (lower left see photos) & it is starting to cloud up around the exterior. I would replace it along with a new seal. The back window glass is in good shape. Exterior: All original body panels. The paint is fading and will need to be redone. The paint is cracking on the hood, roof and other areas. (see photos) The body trim is in good condition and needs to be polished. There is minor rust on the left rear corner of pick-up bed, and drivers door jam. The wood floor will need to be replaced in the bed-liner. Theres a piece of tin flooring covering the wood floor for the bed-liner. All the lights works fine. If you have any questions please call after 6pm (eastern time) or email me before bidding. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A "20-footer". Retail High................. $28,500 High Retail Value This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. This truck has not been restored other than a few mechanical issues such as tune-ups,oil changes and exhaust upgrades etc. I would rate this vehicle at Low Retail Value, somewhere around or below $9450 in the current condition-because it needs paint. Classic old trucks like this one as selling for higher than usual prices because of the resto-modification era we are going through. I personally like original un-restored vehicles to buy. This way you know what you have when you start a project. Auction companies like Barrett-Jackson, Mecum, RM Auctions and Russo & Steel have been selling a lot of these trucks. Prices range anywhere from $10,000 unrestored too well over $50000 + restored in show condition. This would make a great father-son or daughter project.
