1970 Cadillac DeVille 4-Door Sedan Click Image for Photos 1970 Cadillac Sedan DeVille This is a fantastic one-owner car that just needs a little attention to be a great daily driver. It was donated to the Petersen Automotive Museum by the original owner and has spent the past few years in an environmentally controlled storage facility. It is all original and generously outfitted, like every Cadillac, with a series of standard and optional equipment. Drivetrain: The Cadillac DeVille listed here retains its stock 7-liter V8 engine with 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission. It starts and runs very well and has a new battery. Standard equipment such as variable-ratio power steering and dual power brakes (disc brakes in the front) along with automatic level control and cruise control provide a comfortable and easy drive. Brakes work fine. Exterior: Doors, hood and trunk fit well and shut tightly. The vinyl roof looks to be in very good shape except for around the rear windshield. The vinyl has started to separate from the window so it leaks slightly around the edges. The optional paint color Briarwood Firemist looks good and appears to be original except for the whole right (passenger) side which was repainted. There are also some dents and scratches on the front right quarter fender and bumper (see pictures), but the dent looks like it can be popped out pretty easily. There is a piece of missing trim on the passenger door but we have it. It also has all of its badges except for the one that covers the trunk key hole. The spare tire and jack are in the trunk. All exterior lights work. Interior: The spacious interior is in very good shape overall. There are no rips or tears in the leather seats and the headliner is in good shape. The standard AM/FM radio with front and rear speakers works. It also came equipped with the new radio antenna which was concealed within the windshield. It has the standard heater and defroster in addition to the optional automatic climate control with air-conditioning, which works but is leaking. Comfort, luxury and space were all attended to in this roomy six-passenger sedan. There is a 2-way power operated front seat and tilt and telescoping steering wheel for the driver in addition to power windows, power locks, cruise control and 3-speed windshield wipers. Wide, soft seats and armrests were standard for passenger comfort. All interior lights and gauges work. Overall: Please keep in mind that this Cadillac has been sitting in storage for the past several years and while it runs and drives we suggest that a qualified mechanic take a look at the car.
