Up for sale is a beautiful, 1957 356 project that is well on it's way to being a restored classic! I have done my best to portray this vehicle to the best of my ability through this written description and pictures. I purchased the car a few years ago in New England and had a local air-cooled Porsche specialist disassemble and inventory all parts and conduct over $25,000 of work as follows: Car was dipped and brought to bare metal, then immediately primed to prevent any rust Floor pans, longitudinals and battery box were replaced a few years prior to my purchase by the previous owner and look to be in nice shape Non-matching engine #744585 completely rebuilt to the highest specifications at a cost of over $12,000 Transmission and differential fully rebuilt and re-installed Rebuilt Master Cylinder and new brake parts included Rebuilt Front End New Michelin Spare Tire on reproduction 356 wheel with spare tire strap Over $1,800 of Stoddard replacement parts brand new in the box including lights, trim, chrome, interior parts, door handles and chrome parts All glass except for Windshield which was not salvagable Poweder Coated Exhaust included All trim and parts salvaged to numerous to describe and photograph New repro. headlight buckets and lenses This vehicle is extremely straight and the gaps look excellent. There are some rust perferations along the fenders that need to be fixed prior to painting. A Porsche "Certificate of Authenticity" is included with the sale.
