Vehicle Detail

This is a great driver car with lots of extra parts and manuals included in the sale. This car has mostly original parts and the engine runs great and there are no known problems under the hood. The overdrive transmission leaks oil and needs a seal. The car has some scratches on the passenger side door area which are not structural damage but visible. There is some normal rust underneath the car surface rust only with the exception of a spot about the size of a hand where the frame meets the trunk on both sides but nothing structural. New chrome spoke wheels and extra wheel locks. This is an estate vehicle, dad had lots of extra parts such as brakes, an assortment of rubber grommets, struts and even extra bumpers a luggage rack. The car includes a blue toneau cover and has a white convertible top. We know that he had the car since at least 1968 and it was driven only by dad and he kept it in the garage. I have been asked about how often the car has been driven, the answer is not much over the last ten years. Joe did not want anyone else driving the car and he started getting sick about five years ago and did not drive it very often. Then about three years ago he became very sick before he passed in October of 2009, the car has been in my garage ever since and we only drive it around the neighborhood to keep it running. This is a relisting and we have adjusted the starting price, if you have questions I do not mind answering them but I do not want to haggle over the price of the car. If you are interested in buying the car enter your bid and we can go from there but I am not interested in negotiating price outside of this auction. On Mar-12-11 at 15:12:14 PST, seller added the following information: The below links are to a snapfish account which you are welocome to view. The car was backed into in a parking lot just behind the drivers door, the car was repaired and repainted to near the original color. If you look at the photos in the above links you can see some of the original color underneath the car. The serial number or VIN # is HBJ8L-36532 and some have asked about the engine number, 29K/RU/H11281. Joe changed the oil and did his own maintenance so there are not any service records that I am aware of, we do have some service receipts for parts he bought for the car.
