Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING CANDYAPPLE RED 1969 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK MACH I TRIBUTE WITH 390 FE BIG BLOCK UNDER THE HOOD THAT IS WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER TO GET IN AND DRIVE HER. VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: Power steering Manual brakes Deluxe high-back Mach I bucket seats w/console Front and rear spoilers Automatic transmission 390 FE big block motor 14" Styled steel wheels with radial tires Dual exhaust This Mustang started life out as a fairly simple six cylinder car that was made into what it is now. Factory fastback body type (code 63C) with added Mach I stripes, blacked out hood with correct scoop, front and rear spoilers, upgraded V8 suspension, dual exhaust, high back bucket seats, Mach I dash and clock, etc etc. Someone went through a lot of trouble to make this car look like this, and they did a pretty nice job actually. It has been owned by the same fellow for the last few years up in New Hampshire, where it has been kept garaged and away from the elements. Taken to some cruise nights and local shows on occasion and driven on nice days. Very nice and straight body and fairly solid underneath as well. Interior is in very presentable condition. Front driver's seat bottom cushion has a seam split and some general wear otherwise seats look good. Dash pad has new overlay on it and looks perfect. Console is original and looks good with general wear. Carpet is nice and presentable. Good headliner. All in all a very nice driver quality interior. Under the hood lies a fairly stock looking 390ci FE big block producing somewhere around 350hp. Engine bay has been supported with an export brace and monte carlo bar for added rigidity as well. Starts right up and runs beautifully, although carburetor is a little cold natured and could use to be rejetted or replaced eventually. Brakes grab fairly well but are a bit spongy. Steering is nice and tight with little play in the wheel. Overall the car is pretty reliable and can be driven daily with very minor adjustments. Sounds good through the dual exhaust with glass-pack type mufflers and is a lot of fun. Shock towers, frame rails and most of the floors appear in pretty good overall condition with a couple of small patches. Not bad for a Mustang. Good trunk as well with a couple of small reinforcements by inner wheelhouses. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shows GOOD for a nice driver, with normal imperfections (small scratches, chips, and other minor blemishes as you would expect). Missing: spare tire/jack, one letter from trunk lid letters. Not working: clock, a couple of gauges work on/off, radio. Carburetor could use rejetting/rebuild. Brakes a little soft. Shifter is a bit stiff and gets stuck sometimes so may need minor adjustment. Underside has some fiberglass work to a section of the floors (otherwise floors appear pretty solid overall) and minor work by torque boxes, which are SOLID. That's about all I was able to notice during my inspection, but i'm sure i've missed a few details so please call me or ask questions. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL CRUISER THAT COULD EASILY BE A DAILY DRIVER WITH VERY MINOR TLC. HOP IN AND DRIVE IT WITH THE 390 UNDER THE HOOD. THIS IS GREAT LOOKING 1969 MUSTANG FASTBACK MACH I TRIBUTE WITH STRONG 390 FE BIG BLOCK UNDER THE HOOD THAT YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN. THESE CARS WITH BIG BLOCKS DO NOT COME BY THAT OFTEN, ESPECIALLY AT A GOOD PRICE! DRIVE AS IS OR RESTORE IT AS YOU SEE FIT. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
