1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP ( Modded) This is a four door wide track Grand Prix GTP. This is a very reliable car and has had plenty of work and modifications done to enhance performance along with gas milage and functionality. Now for some of the things to mention. Engine: This is a 3800 VIN 1 supercharged engine. The engine was rebuilt in 2008 with all new rings and bearings in bottom end. The oil pump and timing chain was replaced as well and all of the bolts had locktite applied and rod bolts replaced with ARP wavelock bolts. The heads were replaced with 2002 performance heads with larger valves and the heads have been completely ported with 3 angle valve job. The rocker arms were replaced with 1.7 ratio aftermarket performance rockers and all new performance bolts. The front manifold was replaced with a header and a custom exhaust built with 3in galvanized pipe. The supercharger was also rebuilt with new bearings and the supercharger housing and lower intake were ported and flow matched. The supercharger pulley was replaced and now produces 9lbs boost. The throttle body has had work done and a custom airbox built with high flow K&N cone filter. This is a true cold air intake thru fenderwell. It has a 160 thermostat. The PCM was them completely reprogrammed for all of the modifications which include new fuel settings, different fan settings for the thermo, and the shut off eliminated (well turned up to 256mph) Trans: Completely rebuilt when engine was rebuilt. (trans was out on ground already so it only made sense) The PCM was also programmed with performance shift setting to match modifications which are in effect when in performance shift mode. (Still shifts normal with performance shift turned off) The line pressure is also increased during performance shift to allow the clutches to hold better. Wheels/ Tires: The wheels are 9in X 17in Mustang Cobra Wheels with 245/45 R17 Mirada Sport tires which are hardly worn. The interior is leather and includes a Rockford Fosgate CD player, 400W Alpine Amp, And 12” Kicker subs. It also has an Prestiege aftermarket alarm which works in conjunction with the factory alarm. It is keyless entry, and remote start and also is wired to remotely roll up the front windows and close the power sunroof. Paint: The paint still looks great when cleaned up but does have chips and scratches from age. (This is still the original paint). This is an excellent driving and running car and is being driven everyday and I would trust it to go anywhere. The only reason for selling is my wife wants an SUV with third row seating to go on vacation. The only thing not working on this car at this time is the drivers heated seat.
