1985 Jaguar XJS From Southern California – Needs Engine Vehicle Description You are bidding on a rust-free, completely original 1985 Jaguar XJS HE. I bought this Jag from the second owner in Southern California. The 12 cylinder engine was overheated by the owner’s wife and needs to be repaired or replaced. Vehicle Condition Originally a Southern California vehicle, this two-owner XJS has only 65,328 miles and is in good condition in and out. Thanks to its CA origin, there’s absolutely no rust. The original maroon paint is in decent shape. There are no dents, just lots of nicks and scratches due to normal wear and tear (it’s the original paint). The engine does not run. I have never diagnosed it, so bid as if it needs to be replaced. The tires (Pirelli P4000) are in excellent shape. All the electrical systems that I can test without a running motor work perfectly. The oyster leather interior is in decent condition. The driver’s seat has one rip on the side, and a seam is separating on the passenger seat and the tops of the rear seat. The headliner should be replaced. This Jag would be an ideal candidate for a Chevy V8 engine conversion. It’s never been touched; everything on the car is factory original (right down to the owner’s manual and OEM jack). I’m quite sure that the mileage reflected on the odometer is correct. It’s never been in an accident or seen a winter. I have the clear Utah title in my name. You will not be disappointed!
