Hello and welcome to my auction. I have here a 1970 Volkswagen beetle.This beetle was purchased to restore for my daughter who is 19 and after I bought the car and had her drive it , she did not like the 4 speed so I bought her an automatic oldsmobile and now this is just sitting in my backyard and I am never going to do anything with it as I only restore beetle convertibles. What your getting here is a great project that you could drive as you work on it.It will need a complete restoration to be nice or just dress it up with a cheap paint job and enjoy the 40 plus miles a gallon. I have had 2 neighbor hood kids offer me $500.00 and $700.00 but I have more then that in just the motor and a good running 1600 CC can fetch $1,000.00 by itself.This has a rebuilt motor and the tranmission and clutch are low mileage that I took out of a 33000 mile beetle a while back .Please do not think you are buying a perfect car and I have not looked the car over top to bottom but it does not show the normal rust you find in these and the jack rails , heater channels and luggage compartment as well as shock towers are in great condition .I hate to even mention this but this would also make an easy and quick baja project because it is the beetle and not the super beetle . This car is being sold as is . I rebuilt the engine for my daughter and its fresh and ready to go, but please bring trailor and dont ask if the car will make it cross country its 40 pluse years old. This little beetle comes with a California title which was previously salvaged and then inspected and re-assigned a title and all fee’s and registration are current.The tags haven’t even been put on the car ais of yet. I almost forgot there was no damage to the car ,no accidents,no body damage anywhere other then normal nicks and scrapes . I am not sure of why the car was salvaged as there was no water damage so I think the radio or something valuable was stolen out of the car and the insurance company just salvaged it but don’t quote me. I do have a new set of door panels and a new bumper that I’ll include for exactly what I paid for it . I will send receipt and if you want them it will save you some shipping and I will either install the door panels and bumper or just put them inside the car. The door panels were $80.00 and the bumper was $62.00. I am not trying to win the lottery here . I understand the car is not going to go for thousand and thousands of dollars and whatever it sells for over my reserve it’s sold.I am only excepting full payment by Paypal and nothing else will be excepted .Full payment needs to be immediately at the end of auction and the car can stay at my property up to 3 months or 90 days for free .
