Up for auction is a 1979 IHC Scout Raven. This Scout has had a frame off restoration, with every part either new or rebuilt 3500 miles ago. The truck was purchased two years ago from an older gentleman who did the restoration several years prior. I have some pictures of the restoration. The Scout is an original Raven edition, which was completed as a factory option when built. With this edition, came louvers for the rear side windows, which I have in storage, and will go with the vehicle. The Scout has a 304 V8, Automatic Transmission, power steering, power brakes, 4wd, and Air Conditioning! The AC was a factory option that was dealer installed. The vehicle runs and drives great! The AC blows cold, and everything works as it should. The truck was bought with under 500 miles since the restoration, and we have put an additional 3000 on it. I have had this truck going highway speeds with no problem, and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It will make a great driver, whether for pleasure or primary transportation, with no disappointments. The only issues with the vehicle, is a small tear and scuff in the passenger seat side( PIC BELOW), and the radio doesn't work. I have not changed the radio because it is a tape deck with knobs, and I do not want to cut the dash to adapt a CD player. The body has NO RUST OR ROT,and is in overall great condition. There are some light scratches, but nothing too serious. I have listed this as a no reserve auction, so the winning bidder gets it! You may arrange to view the vehicle by emailing me in advance. I will assist the buyer as much as possible with the transaction. The vehicle is being sold as is, with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for arranging and the cost of shipping if necessary.
