Hello folks, Up for auction is one of the nicest 65 El Camino Street Machines to ever hit Ebay. This isn't your Grandfathers old work truck. This is a documented 3 owner California rust free and accident free El Camino. Car is a frame off build where every nut , bolt, and washer has been replaced and/or upgraded. Close to $30,000 has been spent in the restoration but we would let this go at a fraction of that investment! There is only 3,000 miles on the car since its completion. Also, this car has its original California black license plates that were issued to it back in 1965! Purchasing a home forces the quick sale of this beautiful car. Our loss is your gain. Car was totally stripped , glass removed, clips, chrome, and stainless removed. Body and interior panels were painted candy green over black. This gives the overall look of "Nyquil" . We purposely took some pictures mid day then other pictures were taken at dusk . This was done to show how the car looks black at night but during the daylight you can see its vibrant green - especially on the ridge lines of the body. Its very stunning and much time and money were spent on this effect. Suspension was done using dropped spindles. Car rides on 15 inch radial tires mounted a polished 5 spoke American Torque Thrust mags for a true traditional American Street Machine custom look. The inside of the bed is just one of the many things that set this El camino apart from the rest. The wheel wells are straight as an arrow and the bed floor is perfectly straight as well - with no dings,dents, or scratches. Zinc plated bolts and a custom made rubber protectant mat finishes everything off. Countless hours were spent in the detail of this bed to achieve this. NOTE* Take comfort knowing that the bed was not beaten up to begin with . Only minor actual body work done, but the entire bed was stripped to bare metal to get the detail it has. Again, very clean and professional looking! The engine is a 383 stroker with Crane Cam but nothing too radical. Engine is a 400 Horse four bolt main that easily runs on pump gas. 10.1 compression, forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum intake that has a Holley 650 cfm carb sitting on top of it. An HEI distributor keeps a great spark while insuring longevity and hassle free maintenance. A 4 row radiator and a large electric fan keep everything cool . In fact, the car can sit in summer traffic and NEVER gets of 180* . Billet Valve covers and air cleaner give a modern and high end look while at the same time not going overboard. 4 Tube S & S headers are on the engine - along with 2 1/2" pipe and Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers , which exit the rear of the car. The car sounds awesome like it should. The transmission was professionally rebuilt and has a 2000 stall converter and shift kit. The rear end was also rebuilt and has 3.55 gears. The car is geared just right and is perfect for stop light to stop light as well as freeway usage. Also, the power steering makes this drive like a new car should! The upholstery is as beautiful as the rest of the car. Done in Charcoal & Dove Gray leather two-tone , its extremely comfortable to sit it . Long rides are no problem as the padding keeps your comfort level lasting as long as you want. Again, all metal interior parts are painted exterior body color. A full stereo system is installed throughout and sounds like an orchestra . All weatherstripping , felt, rubber were redone. The car also comes with complete brand new smoked glass. Dash lights, dome light, glove box light, turn signals, brake lights, tailights, headlights, hi beam/low beam lights work perfect. Car has all new chrome, emblems, and stainless. Car comes with its original owners manual , warranty book, repair manual from 1965! Successful buyer will receive a foot high stack of books and catalogs, but more importantly than that, you will also receive a large stack of receipts on everything that was done to the car. Again, a lot of money was invested in this car but we will let it go at a fraction of that . We might even entertain a partial trade - No Chopper motorcycles please.
