1971 Ford Thunderbird Normal 0 What I have taken in on trade today is a 1971 Ford Thunderbird White on white with a black top. The mileage was stated to me as original however I have no proof of this, and the title says EXEMPT. The interior is pretty nice for it’s age and shows little signs of wear; the vinyl top shows very well too. The body is another matter, it is very rusty there is rust spots every couple feet on this old girl the hood, front bumper and rear deck lid are the worst of it. The electric windows do not work nor does the A/C she dose run like a watch the motor has lots of power and the transmission shifts as it should when you floor it the 429 thunder jet motor gets this old tank up to hi way speed in seconds! Stopping? Well that’s another matter the brakes go to the floor and are very weak. This old t-bird NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION or would make a super parts car these 429’s are getting hard to come buy and this one is all there! Fix’s the brakes and I bet you can drive her any where I had it up to 75 and it real drive well for and old bomb. Please be advised that you are bidding on a pre-owned vehicle.
