1973 Triumph Tiger

This is a really cool one of a kind Triumph Batcycle. I have been working on, and building Triumphs for 25 years and built this bike in 2007 and showed it at the custom bike show in Birch Run Michigan in January of 2008. The bike is 98% complete, built mostly of Triumph parts and in show condition, but I never started the bike and it has sat in my garage ever since. Then recently I decided to part out the bike but keep the engine, so I pulled the motor, front end, and rear wheel, but then changed my mind and now I’m going to sell it as a complete bike. Every nut and bolt on this bike has been addressed. Hundreds of hours have been spent restoring and polishing. ENGINE The engine is a completely rebuilt 1968 TR6R DU81775 with a Bonneville head and hard to fine opposing monoblock twin carbs. The engine is just beautiful. It has new rod bearings, new pistons and rings, new valves and springs. Engine covers are polished and look great. The engine is a show piece by itself. Choke and clutch cables are attached to carbs. I was going to put a mag on it so I did not install the alternator but I have an alternator that goes with the engine. Other than that, all engine bolts have been torqued to spec and the engine is ready to fire. FRONT and REAR END The front end is an original Triumph disc brake configuration of the late 70s. new front and rear matching tires. Vintage aluminum I beam style front and rear rims. The lower legs are highly polished, tubes are new, master cylinder has been rebuilt, hear light it early 70s Triumph, handle bars are custom. Custom front fender FRAME Bike is titled to frame number which is TR7RVGH34844. Frame and tank have been painted black, paint job is new, but not clear coated. Swing arm has been modified to accept drum brake. Has custom made fiberglass rear fairing and side covers. Has custom rear fender. Motor mount hardware is stainless. TANK The tank came off of a 1971 BSA Thunderbolt. The tank was in very good original condition before painted. You might want to flush out the inside. I had a Batman decals professionally made for the tank. Chrome strip is original but cleaned up nice. Cap, plug, and plug ring are new. Good original clean petcocks. Any questions, just ask.
