Vehicle Detail

1971 Barracuda Convertible, this is probably one of the most solid E-bodies I have ever seen. No rust holes that I can find anywhere, there is some surface rust on the front floors (see pics) but is surface rust only. The trunk looks amazing, all frame rails are rock solid and need no repairs. Drivers quarter needs some repair (DENT not rust) see pics, passenger side is much better. Lower quarters are very nice (no rust), rockers are clean as well. The only rust hole on the entire car is the passengert lower front fender dogleg. These are original cuda fenders but I was not going to use them, I was going to use the AMD's instead. The metal on the cuda currently is all original, no repo. I bought this car from a friend who owned it for over 25 years and always kept it stored indoors. He is the one who added all the options to the car, which include Four speed (console, reverse light), Rallye dash (8k tach), 6 way seat, power windows, fog lights (switch and harness already on car) Rubber bumpers, E-body Dana 60 (4:10), power trunk lock. The car came with power steering, disc brakes, ac and power top. Parts not seen in photos include. All interior panels (kick and door panels are very nice, rear panels have been painted blk, a set of chrome bumpers and a set of rubber bumpers (front is a original and has some damage, the rear is a brand new reproduction ), bumpers brackets both front and rear, a set of painted mirriors, side marker housings and lenses, road lamp brackets (light housings and bezels), rallye ac/heat controls (to replace where CD player is), Car has 3 speaker dash but has one crack by center speaker, new cuda belt molding for rear quarter, fender turn signal lights, tail panel C trim and straight peices ( one is tweaked), THE GOOD Solid 1971 convertible, 98% complete roller minus drivetrain, THE BAD Dose have some dents and dings, but better then major panel replacement. The grill dose have cracks that need attenion and there is some damage to the pass side center cheese grater ( I have about a third of a parts grill to make the repairs), front valance insert dose have a crack by the bolt hole. Both the grill and valance insert are complete and can be repaired. drivers door was replaced and power window stuff is complete in replacement door just needs wired to main harness. THE UGLY No fender tag, body numbers match (ie rad support, cowl, vin tag). In my eyes it dosen't move me as I was never going to restore is back to a 318 auto car. It is what it is, a very solid Barracuda Convertible and you can make it what you want. It dose have some missing parts that are to the best of knowledge is 2 power window switches, hood springs, driveshaft, and I am sure a few minor little things that keep it from being a 100% complete roller. I will include a couple of extra header panels, a spare deck lid (has hood pin holes), and a flat barracuda hood. Please ask all questions before bidding, I want to make this a easy transaction and I want to be 100% upfront so if I missed something please ask or call. My number is 432-559-3378 PLEASE NO CALLS BEFORE 4PM, I work nights and will be happy to speak with anyone anytime during the night. This auction dose have a reserve but I feel its a fair price for what the car is and not a dreamers BJ price. Please make sure all arrangements are made beforing bidding. I will work with you. Standarnd arrangements are Payment to be made within 7 days of auction closing and pick up no later then 30 days after auction closing. Clear title will be overnighted once payment has cleared. I might be able to help transport to a shipping depot (ie Dallas/Fort Worth or Elpaso for a small fee).On Mar-04-11 at 16:08:13 PST, seller added the following information: Please all bidders with less then 10 feedbacks please contact me before bidding or your bid will be canceled. This auction is serious and not a internet game. If something happens to the sale of this car during this auction it will not be listed over and over again. To answer some questions I have been getting. 1. I will not end the auction, it wouldn't be fair to the other bidders. 2. The fenders that are on the car are original cuda fenders, but they have seen better days. I was going to use a set of the AMD fenders. I am sure a talented metal person could make them work, but that will be up to you. 3. Several questions concerning the glass, the front windshield has a chip and the rest of the convertible glass has normal wear for a 40 year old car. 4. I am off this weekend so you can call anytime with your questions and I encourage you to do so as I want this auction to be upfront and honest, IE, no surprises! 432-559-3378 Anyway good luck and I hope the car goes to a good home and not stuck in hibernation like it has been for the last 20 years.
