1972 Datsun 240z This car is a nearly rust free Arizona car. It has been repainted 1 time with the original color being the sunburst orange ( as seen in the trunk space) This is a No A/C car with manual steering and power assisted front disk brakes. It has a four speed manual transmission with a new clutch. The motor runs great and has quite a lotof power. The block is a L24 and the head is the E88 with original dual carborators. Most of the car is original except for the dash cover that is covering the cracked dash. The seat bottoms are starting to split at the seams but the backs are in very good condition. I have two brand new factory style seat covers that will come with the car There is a little bit of rust on the drivers side dogleg but that is all I could find on the car. A line about 1 1/2" long. The front bumber is bent up a little bit it looks like it was backed into at some point in its life. The car was used as a daily driver for the last two years and I decided to park it about 4 months ago. The paint is OK at best, there are some areas that look like they were not prepped correctly and have left imperfections. There are your typical dings around the car. All of the rubber seals around the doors and hatch back were replaced about a year ago and the car seals up nicely. The car is actually very beautiful and would make a great drivable project. if you did a little body work and repainted it to its original color it would be a great looking car. I would like to restore the car but am unable do to loosing my leg in a motorcycle accident. I thought about tearing this car apart and putting a smallblock 350 in it but I know a Z car purist would much rather have this car. I have new factory style seat covers and some other hard to find interior parts still in the boxes that will go with the car. About $650 in parts I have more pictures but Ebay only lets me list 24 on the add.... THis is a NO RESERVE auction so do not let it get away On Feb-23-11 at 19:53:29 PST, seller added the following information: IT has come to my attention that although the Engine is of an appropriat time period it is not numbers matching with the car. The numbers on the Block and the numbers on the Shock tower tag do not match. I assume the block was changed out at some point in the cars 40 year life.
