Vehicle Detail
I purchased this really nice original 1964 Impala from the estate of an elderly couple who bought it new. It was always properly maintained, well cared for and stored in a garage. The cars condition reflects its original 34,823 miles. This Impala has the attractive and desirable color combination of an Ermine white body with a beautiful red interior. The body is clean and straight, showing no signs of any previous damage or rust. The white paint is nice and shiney and is not stained, crazed or cracked. It was explained to me that the elderly "fussy" owner had the car repainted in the late 1970's because it had some nicks and chips. The paint work was professionally done with the door jambs and the underneath of the hood and trunk areas left as original showing no signs of a repaint. None of the glass or trim have any scratches or signs of over spray and all of the clear window glass is original and in excellent condition. All of the moldings and chrome are in excellent condition and are original to the car. The only visible flaw is a small ding and scratch in the middle of the passenger side rear 1/4 panel upper molding. The beautiful original red interior has no rips, tears or burns. The padded dash is mint and uncracked and even the original carpet, floor mats and sill plates are still really nice. The front and rear seats are a combination of red cloth and vinyl with the headliner and visors being white. The instrument panel looks like new with all of the lights, signals, heater, horns, etc in operating condition. This Impala still retains its original V-8 283 turbo fire engine with 2 barrel carburetor and a 2-speed power-glide automatic transmission. The engine sounds and runs excellent and does not smoke, tick or knock and was recently serviced with new fluids and filters. The automatic transmission shifts correctly and was also recently serviced with the same. The entire brake system was gone thru including: "New" master cylinder, wheel cylinders and hoses. This car rides smooth, runs straight, steers easily with factory power steering and can be driven anywhere. Please look closely of my photos of the engine compartment and note the condition of the fender wells and chalk marked fire wall. Original paint on the engine, valve covers and air cleaner. All correct hoses, clamps, battery cables, etc. Also note, the condition of the trunk showing the original gray splatter paint, mats, spare tire & tools. There is no rust in the trunk compartment of this car or anywhere else in the floorpan. Also shown and to be included is "The Original": Pa. Title, Owners Manual Packet, Durbiano Chevrolet Bill of Sale, and Build Sheet from under the front seat. Please understand, you are bidding to buy, not to be the first to look. If you are interested in examining the Impala during the auction you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. I am not interested in any trades and I do not have a "Buy it Now" price. I am offering you a unique opportunity to buy a nice, ready to ride and drive collector car with provenance for the right price. My realistic reserve on this "Survivor" is far cheaper than you could ever restore one for. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding! collectorcarsnparts4u Store
