1951 Plymouth Cambridge 4 dr sedan. This car has been sitting in a unheated garage since 1973. This car is complete and totally original. This car needs complete restoration. Read the rest of the description carefully as I want you to know exactly what you are bidding on. The frame is solid. The body is solid with exception of the floors. This car came from the factory with a rubber mat instead of carpeting so any moisture that got between the rubber mat and the metal floors caused the floors to rust. It needs front and rear floor pans and drivers and passengers side rocker panels as the rocker panels are rusted thru where the floors connect(the floor pans and rocker panels are available on e-bay at resonable prices). I removed the headliner as it was rotted and hanging all the bows are with the car for installing a new headliner. I haven't tryed to turn the motor as I feel that who ever buys the car will want to pull the plugs and put some lubricant into the cylinders before trying to turn the motor over. The previous owner assured me that the car was driven into the garage in 1973. The accelerator linkage is rusted fast and will need to be disassembled and cleaned and lubricated. The gear shift lindage is rusted fast and will need same as accelerator. The clutch pedal works freely. The brake pedal is rusted fast and 3 of the 4 wheels have the drums stuck to the brake shoes. The entire brake system will need to be gone thru. The seats will need reupholstered. There is no key so key switch will have to be replaced. The trunk is solid with exception to the well where the spare tire sits that is rusted out as they do on all these cars. The steering works fine. All of the glass is in good condition except for the drivers door glass which has a crack. Keep this in mind this is a non-running project. What appears to be the original hubcaps are in the trunk and in good condition. The transmission is a 3 speed manual with the shifter on the steering column. I have described this car honestly and as accuratly as possible. Should you need the Vin# send me a message and I will get it and e-mail it to you. There is no title so car will be sold with a bill of sale. When you need a title there are several companys that can get you one using the bill of sale. I also have a lot of documentation with this car such as the original delivery reciept to the dealer in Knoxville TN when the car was new. There is NO WARRENTY with this car.
