There has been NO BODY WORK DONE; no bondo, no sheet metal… All the floorboards are solid, the trunk is solid. This car is a tank! This car is a 1981 Pontiac Firebird Formula Turbo Coupe Car (the last year Pontiac made this style), with a new turbo. The engine is the original automatic 301 turbo, that will need work, as will the brakes. The front and black clips have been replaced with 1978s. The original '81 clips are included in this sale. It has a shift kit, posy traction, dual exhaust with short mufflers. The mileage is only 90,777 on a car that is nearly 30 years old. It has all power- windows, locks, brakes, and RTS steering. All of the gauges work and light up; the Turbo lights light up on the hood’s single scoop. THE DASH is perfect - not one crack. Rears defrost works. The radio is a cassette. The fat tires are BF Goodrich Radial Tubeless P245/60R15 100S in great condition. Thick American Racing rims. The entire black interior is SWEET in near perfect condition- the seats- the carpet (couple of stains under the top mats) – the headliner – the cigarette lighter – the dash – the original diamond-look gauge console. All lights work. The air conditioner works but needs charged. There are no T-Tops. THIS CAR IS VERY RARE, THERE WAS ONLY APPROXIMATLEY 2,000 EVER MADE!!! There is one tiny spot of rust on the front passenger fender, can be fixed without replacing the whole original fender. The color is listed as Maroon, but this car “shifts” colors sometimes it looks burgundy, sometimes it looks straight up purple (at sunrise or sunset), and at night it looks pure black! Sweet when waxed. Did I mention how SOLID this body is? This is a perfect Father/Son project car, you don’t find many of these cars left in such a good body condition.
