Vehicle Detail
This Montero is awesome. I bought it about 2 years ago with a blown engine, rebuilt it and have been enjoying it ever since. >>HERE'S A VIDEO<< >>HERE ARE A TON OF PICTURES<< Why this Montero ROCKS: Engine has about 10,000 miles on it and has been running with Castrol Synthetic since birth.Parts that have been chrome plated: valve covers, fuel rail, crank pulley, fan pulley.Parts that have been nickel plated: camshaft gears. Both heads have been fully rebuilt and reconditioned with new seals, new valves, new hydraulic lifters, and new camshafts.Engine has been rebuilt with new pistons heads, new piston rings, new bearings, new seals, and new crankshaft.Starter was bought new from NAPA and is about 8,000 miles old. This guy cranks and starts up beautifully.Alternator is about 2,000 miles old.Transmission rebuilt and has about 100 miles on it.New negative battery cable. Passed emission in January 2010. Engine bay has been painted flat black.Engine and most all components were painted with brownish-gray engine enamel.Body some dents here and there but paint is in awesome condition.Front indicators are euro-spec; I bought them from England.Tires are 31x10.5x15 Pro Comp Extreme All-Terrains with about 10,000 miles.Interior is in good condition and has brown leather.A/C has been converted to R-134a and blows cold.Cruise control works, power windows work, power locks work, power sunroof works with a little help.Rear side windows have been replaced with windows that open. I still have original windows. What this Montero needs: A radio.Things that I would repair if I kept the Montero: New or used side mirrors. Side mirrors shake a little when driving.New rotors. The ones right now shake a little when braking.Fix the ABS.Top of rear door doesn't sit flush. Needs to be pushed in a little.Driver-rear tail light has hole from BB gun.Need to splice in wiring harness for radio. Old harness was cut out before I bought the Montero.Trim around windshield could use a little reconditioning. Also included with the Montero: Brushguard. It has some rust but nothin' a little TLC couldn't fix.(4) 16" chrome rims. These have some rust too, but I was saving them in case I wanted to get bigger tires.A couple of wiring harnesses for the radio. On Feb-22-11 at 19:14:00 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE There was a small leak that was occurring on the passenger-side valve cover. I re-torqued the valve cover bolts to spec and it seems to have stopped the leak.I will be taking the Montero back to the transmission shop so they can evaluate their work and ask me how it drove. Only thing I can think of to tell them is about a small leak where one of the transmission cooler lines goes into the transmission. This will be fixed. On Feb-23-11 at 20:55:14 PST, seller added the following information: In addition to all that I've included above, I was reminded of other Montero related stuff that I need to get rid of and include in this auction: Original front indicators.A box full of spare (used) components such as: valve covers, oil pans and oil pumps. The receipts of all repairs and parts purchases since I have owned the Montero. Most of the original packaging to parts purchase (main bearings, spark plug wires, etc.) On Feb-26-11 at 12:32:52 PST, seller added the following information: Just added 44 more pictures. Most of which are interior shots. >>LINK TO PICTURES<<
