I am listing this for my brother who still thinks it is 1970. He learned how to type but is not good with the computer. Prior to selling THIS car, he sold in 2005 his 1996 impala super sport on EBAY. He looked at a Marauder and this Crown Vic LX Sport and picked the Ford for the following reasons: Basically the same car, but Marauder was THOUSANDS more.Yes, the Marauder is a bit faster but it needed premium gasoline ($200.00+ annual savings). Both cars sport a monochromatic paint scheme but the black Mercury grill does not look as good as the front of the LX SPORT. This is not your uncle's Crown Vic / Grand Marquis nor is it the police package. It is a luxury 5 passenger cruiser with oomph. (“the sports package has an upgraded torque converter and shorter rear axle gearing that makes for a quicker initial acceleration off the line”). He had thoughts of keeping the car to see if he could get 200,000 miles however an IDENTICAL one recently was offered on EBAY and that one had just 16,000 miles. He used the "BUY IT NOW" option and now he has two and this one has to go. The car was driven 50 round trip expressway miles to work and back each day. 50 miles daily x 5 days in the work week x 50 weeks a year x 7 years = 87,500 highway miles, plus miscellaneous miles on the week ends, hence the 100,000 miles shown. The car was meticulously maintained, the leather is excellent condition without tears or cracking, the body is near perfect (someone twice opened their door into the side of the right front fender and, if one is standing at the exact angle to the Sun, there are twin very small impressions as shown in the photographs). This car is BIG, FAST and SAFE. It is the King of the highway, looks like a cop car and handles like a dream. His favorite accessories are: Multi-Disk CD Player. Steering wheel Control Counsel with Radio Tuner (Bands, Stations, Volume), Temperature and Fan Speed. Dual power bucket seats with power recline and power lumbar adjustment. Center console with transmission shifter and cup holders in the exact place you want them. Everything works properly. As a starting point, we will begin the auction at $3,000 which is less than the Trade In value for one in only Fair Condition, however, remember that this car is in EXCELLENT Condition! The winning bidder should place a $500 non-refundable Deposit by PayPal within 24 hours of the conclusion of the auction and the remainder is cash upon picking up the car. We have attempted to included photographs showing all the body flaws that we could find. None of the scrapes to the paint go down to bare metal, just through the Clear-coat for the most part.
