You are bidding on a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer Monterey. I have owned the vehicle for the past two years and it has been very reliable and I have had no issues. This is the a top of the line model Mountaineer for 2000 with most of the bells and whistles. I hate to sell it, but I have too many vehicles. Here are the pluses: Goodyear All Terrain Tires with plenty of tread Leather Seats in good condition Cold AC, Sunroof In dash Computer (for system checks, fuel ranges, etc) New Muffler, Hood Cable, Oil Change, Filter, completed (1/2011) Very Clean and Well maintained Oil changes every 3-5k during my ownership Front brakes done 3/10 4 wheel drive (I have not used, residing in Florida) Newer Pioneer CD/AM/FM Radio installed in early 2010 Roof Rack and Running Boards I have the clear title in hand Here are a few minor items of note: The windshield washer pump does not work. There is a small rust patch on corner of rear bumper and a slight tear on front arm rest. On occasion, there is a very, very slight delay during shift from 2nd to 3rd gear. This has been the case since I bought the vehicle two years ago and has not progressed. It does not affect the drivability of the vehicle; just rev’s a second or two longer before shifting to 3rd, so I have never felt the need to have anything done. One fog light is missing and the check engine light is on (has been since I have owned the vehicle). As you can note from the pictures, this vehicle is in good condition and has been well taken care of. KBB private party value for this vehicle in good condition is $5810.
