1993 Crew Cab Diesel Dually with 5/7 Drop! I hate to do it, but its time for the truck to go! 93 6.5 turbo diesel with 144k miles, this is my daily driver and I love it. This truck gets more attention than anything I've ever driven. I need something with 4 wheel drive! Body: Escalade nose installed by one of the previous owners, and the truck appears to have been painted at some point. The truck needs a little tlc, it got a little banged up over the winter. The front bumper cover had a couple close encounters with snow banks, and I backed into something and dented the rear just under the right taillight. Virtually no rust, just a couple bubbles on the the left rear cab corner. The dually fenders have some minor cracking in the fiberglass. The clearcoat is peeling in spots on the hood and roof. The truck still looks mint when its cleaned up though. Nice 8ft. cap installed. Also has 5000k HID headlights. Interior: Grey velour with a 60/40 split bench in the front. The underside of the center armrest has about a 4" around hole in it and some of the foam is dug out, was like that when I got it. I always have the armrest folded down so you never see it anyway. Carpets and seats are a little stained, never got around to really cleaning them up. Defrost vent grills cracked, like most older chevys. Very nice pioneer head unit with 3 sets of pre amps and usb input with 4 new Pyramid 4x6 speakers. A/c and heat work great. Also has a trailer brake controller installed. Fuel level gauge acts up a bit when its filled up, buts works normally below 3/4 tank. Drivetrain: Engine runs nice, but the injector pump is a little worn and will have hot restart issues after its warmed up. I have had no issues over the winter but it will probably act up again in the warmer weather. I installed a manual glow plug button to help with hot restarts. Works every time. This truck has the mechanical injector pump, a rebuild costs about $300. Much more reliable than the newer electronic pumps. Leaks a little oil like most old diesels, looks like oil cooler lines. Trans shifts good, and I replaced the 4.10 gears with 3.73 for better highway cruising. The 4.10 gearset is included with the sale. Gets about 14 mpg in winter and 17 mpg in summer. Suspension: Chassis Tech spindles with one coil cut out of the front springs. Rear flip kit with welded in notch and all new shocks. There is a slight driveline vibration between 50 and 60, I have new u-joints for the driveshaft but never installed them. Pitman arm and idler arm have a small amount of play in them, I have a new pitman arm for the truck. The rest of the front suspension is tight. New brakes all around less than a year ago. Tires/Wheels: Polished Alcoas with nice big Mcgard lugnuts and stainless center caps. The wheels could use a polish but still look good. Right now it has 6 new snow tires installed with studs in all 4 rears. I also have a decent set of Bridgestone LT245/75R16s and 2 decent Goodyear 225/75R16's for the front. The 245's rub a little in the front so I put the smaller tire on to fix that. Any questions please ask, I try to respond the same day. Very reasonable reserve so dont bid unless you want to win. Thanks for looking!On Feb-18-11 at 11:49:41 PST, seller added the following information: Truck also has new glow plugs and a new glow plug relay, as well as a new muffler and a new driveshaft center support bearing. The windshield has a crack about 5" long near the left a-pillar and a bullseye crack right in the center. The power mirrors do not work, never bothered to figure out why, but the power windows and locks work perfectly.On Feb-21-11 at 06:08:19 PST, seller added the following information: The clearance lights are from a newer chevy, but are not wired in. I do have the harness to wire them. Also just replaced the air and fuel filters and changed the oil. The fuel lift pump was replaced less than a year ago.
