Vehicle Detail
1975 HONDA CB550 FOUR Up for auction is this 1975 Honda CB550 Four. It is a four cylinder four stroke engine, one of the best engine designs Honda has ever produced. It provides ample torque and horsepower for around town cruising as well as road trips to wherever your imagination takes you. It gives the rider peace of mind because it provides the incredible dependability and reliability Honda is known to build into all the machines they produce. This machine is being offered as a solid base for a restoration project that will when completed give the owner many years of fun and dependable riding pleasure. It is currently in need of some care and maintenence and some cleaning and polishing to bring it back to standard of excellence these motorcycles were known for many years. A former owner lost the keys, but a brand new ignition switch and key will be included with the bike when purchased for the new owner to install. It will also need a new battery and some light repair work on the handbrake and clutch cables, and a new right side battery cover and handlebars. A previous owner had the bike fall over while he owned it and did not replace them. Although the engine is currently is shows good compression and has no visible fluid leaks. Similar bikes in restored condition on EBAY have been selling for prices in the $2200.00-$3000.00 range. A small investment in parts and elbow grease can easily bring this bike up to that standard. There is minimal pitting and rusting on some, but not all parts. The chrome work is good given the bikes age and the exhaust system looks really good, but not perfect. The mileage is low considering the age of the bike, and this machine has a lot of useful life left in it. It would be an enjoyable spring project that can be completed and enjoyed by summertime. My better half is compelling me to spend my time and efforts on her vehicle right now so this project must go. There is no warranty on this machine either expressed or implied, and all sales are final. Accepted payment methods are certified cashiers check, cash, or US Postal Service Money Order only. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $300.00 must be received by me within 72 hours of the auctions end and the balance in full due within 7 days of auctions end. All funds will be received and cleared by all financial institutions involved before bill of sale or the bike leaves my possession. I have not titled it yet, so a bill of sale will be provided. Transportation to the new owners can be accomplished by pickup, or by shipping company AT THE NEW OWNERS EXPENSE. I have a very good working relationship with in my opinion the best auto/motorcycle shipping company of all. They provide excellent service, the vehicle is insured during transport, and their prices are the best. If the new owner wants me to provide shipping at their expense I will do so. If they want to send me the shipping fees I will arrange pickup and delivery details for them. Of course those fees are in addition to the price of the bike itself. I will work with the new owners any way I possibly can to get their new bike home. This is an auction and bidding and buying is a legally binding contract. Please do not waste the time and effort if you are not going to fulfill your part of the contract. This bike is listed locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. If you have questions, please email me or call me at (423) 450-0136 before bidding. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding.
