This is a 1977 fj40 land cruiser it runs fine. I have done some things to it to get it running well. here is a list. Carb rebuild kit new spark plugs new battery new front leaf springs and greasable shackels new air filter new oil pan gasket new rear brakes put in a restoration kit for the front heater rear heater has new motor and works fine. changed engine oil, transmission oil and gear oil. put in new speedometer new poly gas tank new rear lights new reflectors new horn relay new exhaust and intake manifold gasket. new muffler por15 the floor. Here is what is wrong with it needs radio needs some more body work done to it comes with a warn winch on the front but dosent work the only thing it needs is 4 new solinoids and maybe a new cable all the gears are in good shape. fenders have some little holes in them but nothing to bad. bottom of doors are rusty. has surface rust could use a new paint job tires have about 50% tread but look dry rotted they are good enough to drive on the highway with though. This is a very strong and sturdy fj40 i have had it on the highway and it does about 70 fine with only half throttle in 4th gear will probably go 80 to 85 mph maybe more. the guy i bought this off of said the milage is correct. would be a nice restoration project or you can leave it like it is and drive it the why it is your choice. All the lights work heater works turn signals and gauges all work. 4 wheel drive works great. Have no use for the vehicle any more got a truck. I have alot of money in this vehicle my reserve price is a lot less than the amount of money i have in it. The vehicle is in Elizabeth city NC It is titled in Pa so who ever wins it give me a week to get my paper work done. other than that what you see is what you get it is drivable. On Feb-14-11 at 13:05:01 PST, seller added the following information: There is a 3 inch crack in the passenger side quarter panel easy fix.On Feb-15-11 at 19:38:38 PST, seller added the following information: i was ask to descripe some of the problems alittle better. so ill try my best so for body work there is pitting on the floor with the exception of the mid bed and passenger side floor they almost look brand new none of the pitting is through. the hard top has rust in the corners like the top part where the top corner of the rear doors touch the hard top. And right above the driver seat and passenger seat where the hard top meets up with the door rails. the inside of the wheel wells have a little surface rust the rocker panels are solid with like no rust but the passenger side one is bent in a little. There are spots around the outside of the vehicle that have surface rust but look like they where painted over. front of hood is rusty but not to bad you can see it in the pictures. top of white hard top on the inside like where the metal piece is that holds it together is rusty. frame is very solid. I think that the body is in good shape for its year and like i said it starts up fine and runs great. I will take some more pictures of the problems that i discribed and ill try to have them up wednesday afternoon.
