Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my 1959 Chevy Apache 3100 step side pick up project. I started this in 1993 from a basically stock very solid rust free California truck. It has a 1976 4 bolt main 350, turbo 400 trans and 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. The motor is as it was when I purchased the truck and was told that it was rebuilt a couple years prior, basically stock with a mild RV cam. It has an Edelbrock Performer manifold and Holley 650 double pumper carb, Holley electric fuel pump and Fram cartridge filter with a 14 gallon Jaz fuel cell. I put a 1976 Camaro front clip on, flipped the rear axle on top of the springs and C notched the frame. All bushings, bolts, body mounts, bearings, seals, brake lines, calipers, rotors, drums, pads/shoes, ball joints, tie rods power steer pump and lines ( a new steer gear is in a box ready to install) on the chassis where replaced with new parts. Stock 7" GM and new 10" Wheel Vintiques Ralley wheels with 295/50 and 215/65 BFG tires. Inside there is a take out 1994 Silverado bench seat, a 1982 Camaro tilt column, complete Ron Francis wiring harness, Lokar shifter and spoon throttle pedal and Dakota Digital cluster. The dash center was welded up smooth. Under hood the firewall was welded up smooth, a Lokar trans dipstick, Bills billet alternator mount, billet pulleys and new water pump and alternator. On the bed is a Protect-O-Top fiberglass tonneau cover, new bed front and tail gate, the bed sides have been capped and stake pockets filled with the body work on the bed roughed in. The tail gate has been converted to lift off (originally there were permanently bolted on) like the 88 and newer GM trucks and close with GM metal seat belt buckles. The battery was moved to the bed next to the fuel cell. The roof was removed and the body and doors welded up smooth, the windshield is stock height. The frame, fire wall, cab bottom and suspension components where all prepped and painted with ProBase 10 and cleared. The Black and Grey exterior was spray canned in '04 to clean up the looks. It was previously all primer gray. This was to be a follow up to a class winning show car I built in '88 and no expense was spared, at the time ('93-'94) there was over 12k invested in parts and materials, not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of hours in labor. But as time went on, state to state moves, career changes and life in general it kept getting put on the back burner and it's now time to pass it on to someone that can finish and enjoy it. It will include all original parts that I still have and a new oil pan and pump. The pan that is on it leaks and needs to be replaced. The truck runs and drives well, I just drove it this past fall to a car show. The vehicle is for sale locally also so I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Thanks for looking.
