Nice condition bus with NO rot, only minor surface rust as seen in pics. 1.7L 411 motor. Brakes and clutch work! No broken or cracked glass and all work!I have the key and a clear title.It rolls,motor turns but needs carbs rebuilt or replaced. I bought it from a mechanic who let it sit all year. This bus is accident free. Very straight and look at the roof! It is a great project that does not need a whole lot to complete.I bought a brand new set of webber ict's that I will include for an additional $300. It is a complete kit and jeted for high altitude but original jets are in the box. If bids exceed $1500 the carbs will be included! I have college bills and can't finish it. Buyer is responsible for transport. All German decals are readable on gas door,sliding door, and dash. New glove box knob and engine lid hinge are in the glove box. I found a box with more carb parts that will stay in it. I did find rust on drivers side floor 1/2" x 4" area,pretty minor.On Feb-14-11 at 15:45:03 PST, seller added the following information: VW MECHANICS READ! The bus is on my driveway. I am getting many e-mails about wanting to fix it here and driving it away! That is a risk you will be taking. I am 19 miles from nearest hotel. I do have tools but this has sat for a year! It will need fuel lines gone through,carbs and linkage installed and possibly electric checked, lights and whatever. It does turn over with key,and electric fuel pumps is working off ignition,but I have not had time to see if there is even spark. Motor is complete and distributer,coil and plug wires intact. The good thing is I am 4 minutes from NAPA Auto parts. So this would have to be done on a weekend and I would help, I also know VW's. Hope it helps!
