Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, this Datsun 280ZX was fully restored a few years back but now has many chips and scratches and needs a repaint. It is a rust free California car and does not have any major dents, only small workable dings on the rear hatch, passenger door, and hood (see pics). The rest of the body is very straight. All glass is clean and clear, has angel blue headlights installed. The Z rides on nice Konig alloys, tires are about 75% tread all around. The interior is in decent but not perfect condition, like the exterior of the car it had all been redone but now needs minor attention. The plastic on the rear view mirror and dash pad have sun cracks. The center console lid and radio need replaced and some new carpet would make a big difference. Passenger and rear seats look good, drivers seat has a small part of the side piping stitch coming out but is otherwise in good shape. Mechanically, this Z is very fast, tightly built and running well, the 350ci engine starts up and sounds wicked, this is not a car for a kid or someone that is not used to this kind of thing. All work and installation has been professionally done, no "mickey mouse" here!! The Chevy heart even bolts up exactly to the ORIGINAL mounts on the Z's chassis. The automatic trans is controlled by a B&M ratchet shifter with reverse lockout and has an external trans cooler. This Z runs a Edelbrock cam and carb, headers, HEI ignition, Accel Super coil, power steering and disc brakes all around. The engine is cooled by a oversize radiator with dual electric fans. A new battery has also been installed since I brought it out of storage. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this 280. there is 105 due for registration to bring it current in California. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base. I encourage personal inspections and am available Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm for personal viewing.
