WELCOME TO ANOTHER "NO RESERVE" AUCTION !! This is a very rare 1975 BMW 530i, I am told it was the first year for the American E12 and it is unknown how many are still around, if any. This car has been stored and needs some minor work, but does run and drive. I have not seen another one of these on Ebay, ever!!! Production date 2/1975. This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, this BMW could use a repaint, it is chipped, scratched and faded. The body itself is very straight and in excellent shape with the exception of a repairable rust spot on the bottom of each front door corner (see pics). The floors and undercarriage look excellent. Windshield has a small chip on the passenger side, all other glass looks good. The chrome trim around the top and sides of the front and rear windshields is missing. One of the trunk lid hinges need replaced. The interior could use some minor work such as new carpet and the drivers seat and dash pad recovered. Rear deck speakers are gone. Everything else is intact and looks pretty good and is probably above average for a unrestored car of this year. Mechanically, this BMW runs decent but has a few quirks....I don't know these cars too well but when the car is cold it seems to have a hard time starting and when it does it idles high for a bit. When it's warmed up, it runs great and the trans shifts smooth and on cue. I would recommend a complete tune-up, oil change and fuel flush. A new fuel pump was installed after we brought it out of storage. I have in hand the clean and clear California title on this BMW. Registration will be 108.00 to bring current if the car stays in California. The car is located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base.
