1991 Volvo 240 Wagon This is fast becoming a rare model that seems to have been very well-maintained. It comes with a 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. It purrs and you can barely hear it running as smooth as it is. We have taken it on a test run (more of a joy-ride). It has smooth and powerful acceleration. The automatic transmission shifted smoothly and effortlessly. It has a super clean blue interior – very nice. It came in virtually this clean – we only truly had to give it a quick wipe-down and a quick shop-vac. If you want it to be “show condition”, you would have to have it professionally detailed. This rare 240 also comes with power windows, power door locks, heated seats and AM/FM cassette (will need code). The classic blue exterior, as you can see from photos, shines like glass. We show a few photos of some minor scuffs or scratches and a few paint blisters. Tires and wheels are in good shape. Exhaust was quiet. Once in a while, there is a “whirring” noise from the rear – it may be the beginnings of a rear caliper going; again, it is intermittent and we don’t know what it is. Does not affect it’s handling or performance. It comes with a still current WV inspection good until 04/11. These 240’s are becoming extremely hard to find. We may be biased, but we feel this is the classiest that Volvo had come out with in the wagons. The driver’s door is a slightly different shade of blue (it is off another vehicle – we don’t know why the door was replaced, it came in this way).
