1969 Dodge Dart Custom California Black Plate Unmolested Barn Find This is a rock solid, Southern California born and raised Dodge Dart. It is a numbers matching 273 V-8 2V. It retains its original paint, original am radio, and unmodified engine! Basically, this is an unmolested find. It has not been modified and is in original factory stock condition. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION Additional things you should know to wet your appetite even more about this great unbelievable find: Original Paint - This is in excellent condition and looks great Original Glass - All Chrysler logo’s including the windshield are present Original California Car - This means it is not a rust bucket Original Black Plates - Plus the original plate frame Period Correct Redline Tires - These look really cool New Carpet and New Seats - These were replaced last year Recent Mechanical Work - Includes new Flow Masters, brakes shoes, batterey, fuel pump and engine compartment detail Original options include: Automatic transmission Power steering There is NO major rust issues on this body as you would expect on a true California car! It retains ALL of the original body panels. The floors, doors, and fenders are original as well as the quarter panels. You can still see the original paint and sound deadening material in the trunk. The spare tire area and trunk only have minor surface rust as seen in the pictures. Even more remarkable is the original spare in the trunk! The hood has some rust under the stripe on the left side as well as a dent in the front. Please keep in mind this is a 40+ year old collector car. I am not going to say it needs nothing as I am not an expert and everyone is subject to their opinion and level of perfection. It does have wear and tear for a car of this age. Items that may need attention can be easily purchased from many suppliers (I would suggest Year One). It could use a new dash pad and windshield washer resivoir. Also, the AM radio and the temp guage do not work. I have described it to the best of my knowledge. It also still has the original California black license plates, commonly referred to in the car collector world as a “Black Plate Car.“ This is a very desirable distinction. California vehicles retain the original license plates as long as they remain registered in California. It also still has the original dealer plate frame on it. This car has been in California it's entire time and I am the third owner of it. It is on a clean California title and registered through August 11. Unmolested cars are extremely rare and getting harder and harder to find. If you are looking for a nice Dart then this is the one. Priced low with a realistic reserve. This would make a great GTS clone something I intended to do. Real big block versions are bringing $60K+. Buy this one for a fraction of that and create your own.
